It was necessary to solve multiple challenges, including measures to minimize the influence of outside air, avoiding complex structures around the filling machine, and resolving issues within a limited budget. To achieve this, the area around the filling machine was enclosed with a vinyl booth and a fan filter unit (FFU), creating positive pressure only in the manufacturing environment. As a result, the construction of the vinyl booth and FFU led to a reduction in foreign matter contamination, achieving a certain level of effectiveness. Further improvements were realized through floor renovation work, which also helped suppress dust generation, and measurements confirmed a decrease in foreign matter contamination. They were experiencing issues with Teflon tape used on the transport guide of processing machines for transporting products, as it would stick to the products and required frequent replacement. Therefore, we proposed an additional DLC treatment after blast processing. This surface treatment, which excels in slip resistance and wear resistance, is very hard and has a low friction coefficient, allowing for smooth transport of the film and high durability, ensuring long-lasting slip performance. By applying DLC treatment on top of the blast processing, the film of the product was transported smoothly, and maintenance work for tape replacement was reduced due to its high durability. The cleaning inside the device is performed by opening a ceiling hatch, but there are no access stairs or fall prevention handrails to the ceiling, making it a dangerous task, and measures were required. Therefore, we proposed the installation of a walkway with safety rails to match the height of the cleaning device's top surface. As a result, safety has been ensured, allowing for cleaning operations to be conducted with peace of mind. Free membership registrationA customer engaged in food manufacturing is sequentially updating the air conditioning units in their factory for the purposes of addressing global warming and energy conservation. The air conditioning unit targeted for this update is installed within the grille (lattice fence) on the building's wall rather than on the rooftop, making the removal and installation process extremely difficult. As a result, the existing outdoor unit was disassembled on-site, and the ducts to be replaced were cut before carrying out the removal work. The new outdoor unit was also disassembled once and brought in using a high-altitude work vehicle from the wall. The grille was temporarily removed and restored after the unit was brought in. It was challenging to run the piping through a limited space with many obstructions such as beams, but we were able to complete the work as scheduled. Among several surface treatments we proposed, they showed interest in a ceramic coating that excels in heat resistance and non-stick properties. After conducting test evaluations, we achieved good results in terms of non-stick performance. As a result, even after several months of use, there was no deterioration in performance, and they were pleased to find that cleaning tasks had become significantly easier than before.
