DLC coating (wear resistance, release properties)
■Outstanding Features The hardness is equivalent to Vickers hardness, with various properties of DLC available in the range of 1500 to 7000 HV. It excels in wear resistance due to its high hardness. Additionally, the coefficient of friction is as low as that of fluororesin, providing excellent release properties. It also has effects in preventing aluminum adhesion and gas barrier effects.

basic information
■Details of Processing Technology DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon. It forms an amorphous (non-crystalline) carbon thin film. There are PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) methods, which are selected based on purpose and conditions. Additionally, by performing pre-treatments such as WPC treatment or blast treatment before DLC processing, it is possible to further improve slip properties by reducing the friction coefficient due to point contact effects. ■Available Sizes Varies depending on shape, quantity, and base material. ■Base Materials Stainless steel, SKD materials, SKH materials, cemented carbide, some aluminum materials, etc. ■Notes (Disadvantages due to processing, etc.) Deposition may not occur on items with complicated shapes such as the inner diameters of piping or molds. Also, adhesion may vary depending on the base material and surface condition, so please feel free to consult us. ■Delivery Time (Varies by quantity and size) Approximately 2 weeks.
