[Case Study] Surface treatment that meets slip resistance, wear resistance, and stringent dimensional accuracy.

Surface treatment that clears sliding performance, wear resistance, and strict dimensional accuracy - Blastron.

We received an inquiry from a semiconductor manufacturing company stating, "When setting the product on the stage, there are times when it cannot be positioned correctly, and we have tried various surface treatments but have not been able to resolve the issue." Issues: 1. Can we solve the problem with a surface treatment that has good slip characteristics on the stage? 2. Since it will be used in a clean room, we need to minimize dust generation. 3. To prevent snagging, the surface dimensional tolerance should be finished to ±0.01mm, with the bottom surface parallelism within 0.02, and the side finishing should be +0 and within -0.05.

[Case Study] Adoption of Unmatched Non-Stick Rollers in Adhesive Tape Manufacturing Line

Adoption of unparalleled non-adhesive rollers in the adhesive tape manufacturing line.

In the adhesive tape manufacturing line, there was an unavoidable process where the adhesive surface came into contact with the roll. Various non-adhesive rolls were tested, but satisfactory performance could not be achieved, leading to frequent line stoppages, and each time, cleaning work had to be carried out. Issues: 1. It is not possible to create a mechanism that does not touch the adhesive surface. 2. Based on past experience, surface treatments with too much roughness are unsuitable as adhesive material tends to get trapped in the valleys. 3. The release properties obtained from fluorine-based surface treatments do not meet the required standards.

[Case Study] Improving Cleaning Efficiency with Non-Stick Fluoropolymer Coating!

Improving cleaning efficiency with non-stick fluoropolymer coating!

You were troubled by the adhesion issues of the glue pot for the back gluing of the binding machine and the perfect binding machine. The glue used is a reactive hot melt adhesive that has a very strong bonding power even in small amounts, and it is a special product with a high price. If it hardens while still attached, the peeling process becomes very difficult, and it cannot be reused, resulting in significant waste. Issues: 1. Since the glue has a strong bonding power, high non-stick properties are required. 2. As it is hot melt, the glue pot is constantly heated by a heater. 3. After removing the glue pot for processing, surface treatment must be done immediately before delivery and installation.

[Case Study] Ceramic Coating with Excellent Non-Stick and Wear Resistance

There are cases where, after several months of use, there is no degradation in performance, and cleaning tasks have become significantly easier than before.

This is a case study from a food company. They were struggling with the burden of cleaning due to product adhesion on molds and transport guides used in the manufacturing process. Among several surface treatments we proposed, they showed interest in a ceramic coating that excels in heat resistance and non-stick properties. After conducting test evaluations, we achieved good results in terms of non-stick performance. As a result, even after several months of use, there was no deterioration in performance, and they were pleased to find that cleaning tasks had become significantly easier than before. [Issues] ■ Excessive material adhesion can lead to defects where products do not meet the specified weight. ■ They had previously adopted fluoropolymer coatings, but these wore out quickly, resulting in low cost-effectiveness. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Surface treatment: Non-stick resin coating (non-stick, wear-resistant, heat-resistant)

Non-stick resin coating (non-stick, wear-resistant, heat-resistant)

■Excellent Characteristics 1. Non-stick Property The non-stick coating can eliminate the adhesion of strong adhesives that cannot be addressed by fluororesin or silicone rubber, depending on the performance of the treated material and surface shape. (For example, tape and cellophane tape do not stick at all.) 2. Wear Resistance The pre-ceramic maintains surface hardness, improving wear resistance and achieving a long lifespan. It exhibits wear resistance that is incomparable to fluororesin and silicone coatings. The above characteristics can be realized at a high level. 3. Heat Resistance It can be used continuously at temperatures up to 150°C.

Surface treatment: PEEK coating (heat resistance, slip resistance, wear resistance)

PEEK coating (heat resistance, slip resistance, wear resistance, high strength, high hardness, chemical resistance, prevention of metal ion leaching, electrical insulation, environmental characteristics)

■Excellent Characteristics 1. Heat Resistance It exhibits the highest heat resistance among resin-based surface treatments, with a continuous use temperature of 260°C. 2. Slip and Wear Resistance Although it is inferior to fluororesin, it has high slip (sliding) properties and superior wear resistance compared to other resin-based treatments. 3. High Strength and Hardness It is the highest in strength and hardness among resin-based treatments. 4. Chemical Resistance It is hardly affected by strong acids and strong alkalis, except for concentrated hydrochloric acid. 5. Prevention of Metal Ion Leaching Peak Coat employs special processing technology to achieve thick film treatment and pinhole-free (no microscopic holes in the material), suppressing penetration and preventing metal ion leaching. 6. Electrical Insulation With a volume resistivity of 10Ω·cm and the characteristics of thick film treatment and materials, it has very high insulation performance. Conversely, for areas requiring conductivity, there is Peak Coat C. 7. Environmental Characteristics Since Peak Coat is composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, the byproducts during combustion are only carbon dioxide and water, thus not polluting the atmosphere.
