[Consulting Case] System Design for ERP Implementation in a Chemical Plant

Contributing to the improvement of profit structure! Introducing consulting case studies.

A chemical plant planning a large-scale ERP investment consulted us about IT strategy formulation. Before discussing the IT strategy, we proposed consulting to analyze what issues exist for improving profitability and how IT can solve those problems. We visited all the factories, familiarized ourselves with the layout of tanks and material storage areas, and then used data to understand inventory by item and location based on inbound and outbound quantities and inventory levels. As a result, we identified issues with how demand (orders) were taken and how production lots were determined. We aggregated and visualized the flow of materials from raw materials to intermediate goods and finished products across multiple factories, set KPIs to reduce inventory (holding time), and organized the business flow and data from order receipt, procurement, production, to shipping. We designed a supply chain system and positioned the ERP within a comprehensive system. [Effect] ■ Successfully implemented ERP effectively, contributing to the improvement of profitability. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Consulting Case] Profit Structure Improvement Support for Electronic Component Manufacturer

Improving from a red font constitution to a high-profit constitution! Introducing consulting case studies.

The electronic components manufacturer, which has an extremely wide range of items such as semiconductors and PCBs, has processes that exceed 100, with complexities including returns to upstream processes and repetitions. Due to the inability to secure profits firmly with traditional cost management and inventory management theories, there have been inquiries about what methods can be used to resolve these issues by reading our publications. The first step taken was to wear work clothes and observe the flow of materials according to the work instructions, monitoring the movements of equipment and personnel over the course of a week. The root cause was found in the management system that aimed to increase output and reduce costs for each process. The solution was achieved by shifting the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) from cost to time (inventory holding). [Case Study] ■ Solution - Shifted KPI (Key Performance Indicator) from cost to time (inventory holding) ■ Effect - Customer satisfaction shifted from low prices to immediate delivery, improving from a deficit-prone structure to a high-profit structure. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Consulting Case] Market Expansion Strategy Support for Beverage and Food Manufacturers

Expanding the market through supply and demand management of new products over standard items! Introducing consulting case studies.

We received a consulting request from a major domestic beverage and food manufacturer in China. The management challenges in the beverage and food industry are significant demand fluctuations, with excess inventory and stockouts being persistent themes. Excess inventory must be discarded once it passes its expiration date, while insufficient inventory leads to lost sales opportunities, impacting overall performance. Therefore, we analyzed the profit structures and inventory fluctuations of each segment, from factories to logistics warehouses, wholesalers, and retailers, assuming that each operates as a profit center, and identified the issues. We proposed changing the management system, implementing mixed deliveries of small lots with high frequency for each SKU, and adjusting factory production cycles from monthly to shorter cycles of half-month or weekly. We gained their agreement through an Excel simulation demonstrating how much inventory could be reduced and stockouts eliminated. [Effects] - By revising promotions that cause sudden increases and decreases in demand, we achieved demand leveling and production/shipping leveling, resulting in successful market expansion for new products through fresh rotation strategies. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Consulting Case] Support for Production Innovation Project at a Major Automotive Parts Manufacturer

Results from production innovation focusing not only on cost reduction but also on inventory! Introducing consulting case studies.

The production management and IT departments at headquarters are attempting to implement external ERP and strategic methods in a top-down manner, while the on-site staff feel a sense of discomfort. There has been a growing necessity for a common understanding and company-wide production innovation. In response, we conducted a seminar on supply chain management, which is a methodology for improving profit structure, for the internal project members. The project meetings included not only the factory side but also the production management department, logistics, sales, accounting, and IT departments from headquarters, where we identified current issues and proposed a structural overview of the problems. We realized that reducing inventory through small-lot production generates profits for the factory, leading us to reassess KPIs and transition to smaller lot size production. **Case Study** ■ Solutions - Conduct a seminar on supply chain management. - Involve not only the factory side but also the production management department, logistics, sales, accounting, and IT departments from headquarters to identify current issues and propose a structural overview of the problems. - Reassess KPIs and transition to smaller lot size production. ■ Effects - Performance improves not only through cost reduction but also by focusing on inventory in production. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Resistance compensation vibration suppression of the drive system of the stepper motor in office printers.

Improvement of printing accuracy and savings on electricity costs by suppressing friction resistance vibrations in stepper motors.

The drive motor that rotates the feed and discharge rollers of the printing machine experiences fluctuating friction due to repeated stop-start operations. This causes the entire printing machine to vibrate, resulting in noise and unnecessary electricity costs. To suppress the complex vibrations caused by the rotational resistance transmitted throughout the rotating machinery, we would like to introduce our patented technology for counteracting rotational resistance and preventing shaft vibration. Mechanisms such as dynamic dampers that avoid resonance are also employed, which are effective against large vibrations, but by suppressing high-frequency vibrations, we can also reduce noise and save energy by addressing the invisible micro-level fine vibrations. 【Features】 ■ Suppresses complex vibrations caused by rotational resistance transmitted throughout the rotating machinery ■ Uses mechanisms such as dynamic dampers to avoid resonance ■ Reduces noise and saves energy by suppressing high-frequency vibrations, including invisible micro-level fine vibrations ■ Fundamental remedy *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Energy-saving measures for factories using industrial motors.

For energy-saving measures for industrial motors with high power consumption, consider the patented technology for counteracting rotational resistance and preventing shaft wobble.

Electricity is undoubtedly an important resource in modern society. Unnecessary complex vibrations caused by random rotational resistance in size and direction are a source of energy loss in motor drive systems. To suppress the complex vibrations caused by rotational resistance transmitted throughout the rotating machinery, we would like to introduce our patented technology for counteracting rotational resistance and preventing shaft vibration. The reactive forces from the driving force and the object are received from various directions: radial, circumferential, and axial, affecting different parts. This technology addresses the complex vibration issues of radial eccentric vibrations, circumferential twisting vibrations, and axial expansion and contraction vibrations. 【Features】 ■ Suppresses complex vibrations caused by rotational resistance transmitted throughout the rotating machinery ■ Solves complex vibration issues of radial eccentric vibrations, circumferential twisting vibrations, and axial expansion and contraction vibrations ■ Fundamental remedy *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Patent technology for suppressing machine vibration, which is the root of all evils, through resistance compensation and rotation axis wobble suppression.

The root of all evil, a patented technology for suppressing noise and component wear by counteracting rotational axis vibration.

The driving force and the reaction received from the object affect various parts from different directions, including radial, circumferential, and axial directions. As a means to solve all these vibration problems, we would like to propose our patented technology for preventing rotational axis wobble through rotational resistance compensation. The dynamic damper of the core pillar, for example, aims to avoid resonance and ensure the safety of structures, while balancers and numerical control correct the generated vibrations through feedback control. Although these are instantaneous phenomena at the microsecond level that are not visible, they are symptomatic treatments. In terms of suppressing the source of occurrence, it can be said that this is a fundamental treatment rather than a symptomatic one. [Features] ■ Solves the root causes of various issues, such as noise and component wear ■ Fundamental treatment *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

The importance of improving the precision of machining.

Before improving machining accuracy with feedback numerical control (NC)!

Advanced technology for improving the positioning accuracy of blades through numerical control (NC) with sensors and controllers is a specialty of Japan, aimed at enhancing the precision of machining. However, there is a time delay in the servo motor drive that measures position with sensors, and typically, an offset correction process is required after machining. As a solution to this issue, we would like to propose our patented technology for preventing rotational axis wobble through rotational resistance compensation. This approach addresses the root cause rather than merely correcting the generated wobble through feedback, making it a fundamental solution rather than a symptomatic one. Of course, using it in conjunction with NC technology will double the effectiveness. 【Features】 ■ Fundamental solution ■ Effectiveness is doubled when used in conjunction with NC technology *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Causes and Solutions for Fuel Economy Loss in Automobiles Due to Rolling Resistance

Compensate for the rolling resistance, which is the source of torsional vibrations, and improve the fuel efficiency loss of the automobile.

Axial runout, or rotational axis vibration, can be described as a complex vibration due to centrifugal force causing radial vibrations, torsional vibrations from rotational friction, axial compressive vibrations, and deflection vibrations. This is because the rolling resistance acting on the tire is a "random phenomenon where both the magnitude and direction of the force change constantly over time." By using our patented technology to prevent axial runout, depending on the driving conditions that affect the differences in rolling resistance, we should be able to offset the tire's rolling resistance and save a significant portion of these fuel economy losses. 【Features】 ■ Offsets tire rolling resistance ■ Saves a significant portion of fuel economy losses *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Energy-saving rotational resistance compensation shaft vibration suppression technology

A technology to reduce vibration energy loss due to resistance friction during load operation to levels similar to idling operation.

There are several ways to achieve energy efficiency, but energy conservation in rotating machinery that consumes a large amount of energy is an urgent issue. It is impossible to completely suppress rotational axis vibration during idling or loaded operation. The only way to completely eliminate vibration is to stop the machine. By utilizing our patented technology for preventing rotational axis vibration, we can suppress vibrations caused by reactive forces from rotational friction, thereby preventing energy loss. This technology can reduce rotational drive energy loss in a wide range of industrial machinery, including electric motors, automobiles, and factory production lines. [Features] - Suppresses vibrations caused by reactive forces from rotational friction - Enables reduction of rotational drive energy loss *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Fundamental Knowledge of Vibration: Patent Technology for Suppressing Vibration of Rotating Axes

Suppressing axis deviation! Operating various products, including motors and industrial products, with high performance.

Vibration refers to the situation where a mass-containing object is undergoing reciprocating motion. There are two means to avoid vibration problems. One is a method to weaken the vibration itself. The other is a technology that uses materials or structures that are less likely to transmit vibration, such as soundproof walls. Our company's patented technology for preventing rotational axis wobble is a technique that "relaxes rotational resistance friction" using a separate object, the "inertia ball," from the vibrating rotating body. In simple terms, this technology reduces vibration by having the "inertia ball" suppress the "force that causes motion," which is the source of vibration, as a "force that holds still." [Features] ■ There are two means to avoid vibration problems. ■ The patented technology for preventing rotational axis wobble reduces vibration by having the "inertia ball" suppress the "force that causes motion" as a "force that holds still." *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Eliminating waste in energy! *Explanation book available.

Unnecessary vibration energy E of the main shaft due to rolling friction = 1/2 * m * v². By reducing weight m → 1/2, the vibration suppression v → 1/2 becomes smaller!

Rotational axis vibration causes unnecessary three-dimensional vibrations not only from radial centrifugal force vibrations but also from twisting vibrations due to rotational friction and axial expansion vibrations. It generates vibrations throughout the entire mechanical system, such as rolling resistance vibrations, in addition to a balancer that cancels out centrifugal force vibrations. Energy loss, positioning accuracy issues, noise, and safety are eternal challenges in the modern industrial world, particularly in automotive drive systems, main shafts of electric motors, power transmission gears, and pulleys. This document explains the motion of rotational axis vibration using the mechanics of sports and martial arts through Newtonian mechanics and elucidates the principles of patented technology for reducing axis runout. [Contents of the explanatory document] ■ The issues of rotational axis vibration are diverse. ■ Mitigating rotational resistance may not show effects during idle operation, but it demonstrates its capabilities in actual operation. ■ Principles and patents. ■ Practical vibration testing with a drill press. ■ Experiments on grinding wheel rotational axis vibration and machining accuracy, comparing resistance cancellation and balancers. ■ Mechanical theory (system dynamics), etc. *Explanatory documents are currently being distributed. For more details, please contact us or download the PDF to view.

【Presentation of explanatory materials!】Resolving the dilemma of inventory reduction and preventing stockouts.

Among the seven wastes of TPS, we propose a method to eliminate the two wastes that cannot coexist within the paradigm of efficiency: "waste of inventory" and "waste of waiting" (stockouts)!

By applying system dynamics, which models the structure and causal relationships of the entire system rather than parts, to supply chain management for solving problems in management and social fields from the engineering domain, ICT infrastructure such as IoT and big data becomes an effective tool for creating profitable factories. Through simulations using profit velocity management accounting as a KPI, one can understand the significance of synchronization, the impact of inventory fluctuations and stockout phenomena, production capacity, and time on profits. This time, we are offering a free downloadable explanatory document that includes this content. We encourage those involved in factory management and those struggling with management to take a look. [Contents] ■ Causes and countermeasures for unprofitability ■ Limitations of probability and statistics ■ Reducing inventory time increases profits ■ Limitations of probability and statistics ■ Dynamics of inventory and profits ■ Analysis and simulation, etc. *For more details, please check the explanatory document from the PDF download.

Balancing inventory reduction and preventing stockouts: "Imako-style SCM Design Theory" [*Explanation book available*]

Designing profitable factories based on experiences as a consultant who gained attention from the bestseller "Supply Chain Management" and improved the earnings of many companies.

The key to improving efficiency is not just cost reduction but also focusing on inventory! A must-read for factory managers struggling to connect IoT data to profits! We are proposing improvements in factory operations through IoT. In addition to cost reduction through efficiency improvements, we also focus on inventory, viewing excess inventory and stockouts as the same problem in a holistic manner. The equation (dynamics) that derives profit velocity from the shipping (demand) speed and production (supply) speed connected by inventory can also be modeled as a system control problem, allowing for analysis and optimization. [Contents] ■ Causes of unprofitability and countermeasures ■ Limitations of established statistics ■ The theory of making profits ■ Profit velocity and system dynamics ■ Positioning and utilization of ERP *We are currently offering a must-read explanatory handbook for factory managers! Proposing a unique method to balance inventory reduction and prevention of stockouts while minimizing rolling resistance!

Experience in transforming a deficit business into one that doubles sales and contributes the most to profits, proposing engineering for a profitable system from others. [Limited-time free seminar scheduled!]

"SCM Smart Factory Manufacturing Profit Structure Improvement," "Rolling Resistance Suppression Technology (Patent)," "Education for Self-Directed Human Development," "Innovation in Product Development and Manufacturing." We will systematize these four seminars and hold a free trial course as follows. 【Seminar Content】 1. Improvement of Manufacturing Profit Structure (SCM Smart Factory) The source of profit lies not in management but in the field; profit is generated more by the time of resources than by cost reduction; equipment time data should be measured with IoT sensors rather than input. 2. Power Cost Reduction Technology (Patent) Balancers only address eccentricity and are powerless against friction resistance; vibration theory in the frequency domain turns mechanical phenomena into a black box. 3. Education for Self-Directed Human Development Drucker's origin was the diagnosis of the social disease in Hitler's Germany; both companies and society are harmed by charisma, genius, and divinity; polytheistic Japan embodies the philosophy of coexistence and mutual benefit in human development and manufacturing. 4. Seminar on Successful Business Development from Product Development Following competitors in pursuit of immediate profits leads to stagnation; customer value comes before technology and theory; innovation stems more from entrepreneurial spirit than logical thinking. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.*

Presentation of the explanatory book on the mechanics of rotational axis motion and power cost reduction technology (patent).

Actual load operation with axis vibration suppression close to idling! Rotational resistance cancellation technology (patent) achieves energy saving and improved machining accuracy!

Instead of solo sumo or shadow boxing, like a strong martial artist in practice: - Increase the energy efficiency of electric motors in actual operation, not just idle operation. - Improve the machining accuracy of production processes that cut workpieces, not just air. - Enhance the fuel efficiency of cars driving on public roads, not just on test courses. - Demonstrate effectiveness in practice. Introducing technology to counteract rotational resistance! The issue of rotational vibration in the drive systems of automobiles, the main shafts of electric motors, gears for power transmission, and pulleys presents eternal challenges in modern industry, including energy loss, positioning accuracy problems, noise, and safety. This seminar explains the motion of rotational axis vibration using the mechanics of sports and martial arts through Newtonian mechanics, elucidating the principles behind the patented technology for reducing axis wobble. Features: While discussions in the frequency domain can often turn the mechanical behavior of vibrations into a black box, this seminar deepens understanding through thought experiments based on Newtonian mechanics learned in high school physics. By understanding the principles, opportunities for joint development, including patent licensing, can be obtained for application in manufacturing companies' equipment and products, aiming for reductions in power costs, improvements in product machining accuracy, and noise prevention. *Explanation booklets are currently being distributed. Product development innovation in manufacturing *Explanation book available.

"Good opportunities reside in a prepared mind" (The Law of Serendipity). You can learn systematic innovation methods, including the ability to discover unexpected things by chance!

Improving the current products is important, but new technologies in different categories from existing ones may eventually disrupt the existing market, even if they initially seem inferior. One classic example is the innovation that occurred across generations from sailing ships to steamships, from steam engines to internal combustion engines, and from internal combustion engines to electric motors. This is not just a brainstorming method or theory of innovation based on mere ideas, but rather a systematic approach to innovation based on historical examples by Christensen, Drucker, and Schumpeter. Let’s learn about "product development innovation management" that achieves results from the innovative mindset of Japanese people who have won many Nobel Prizes in natural sciences, and those who have made Japanese trains and automobiles the best in the world, derived from Western origins! * A commentary handbook is currently being offered.
