Success story of the introduction of an automatic polishing system with a European automobile manufacturer!

FerRobotics creates a new standard in polishing automation! The polishing of the roof joint area of automotive bodies is fully automated with pressure correction control. Our technology, ACT, allows for complete control of pressure with a high-speed automatic correction end effector. Users share their success stories in the video. The complete automation of grinder finishing after welding/brazing in the roof joint area of vehicles significantly improves finishing quality and allows for better management of abrasive material consumption by maintaining consistent pressure. The most important factor for high-quality post-processing is delicate and smooth grinding. The better the polishing finish, the higher the quality of the finish, making it a perfect match for high-end product demands. ■ Benefits: - High-speed autonomous pressure correction control increases the robot's trajectory speed, dramatically improving productivity and cycle time for polishing and brushing. - Maintains a high level of quality, enabling polishing to be performed 24/7. - High-speed autonomous pressure correction control reduces the consumption of consumables, leading to cost savings.

Easy tool exchange enables various robotic polishing processes such as pre-processing, buff polishing, and mirror polishing! A polishing automation tool that realizes the automation and robotization of diverse surface finishing. Instant automatic correction allows for processing with uniform force.

The ACF-K is a tool exchange unit that allows for easy attachment and detachment of hand tools such as angle grinders, belt sanders, orbital sanders, and die grinders. It enables simple automation with constant control of pressing force, contributing to your company's labor-saving efforts. FerRobotics' Active Compliant Technology automatically corrects the "difference" in contact pressure (force) that occurs during processing in grinding and polishing operations, which require skilled techniques, against dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-flat surfaces of the workpiece at high speed. It also automatically compensates for gravitational loads, allowing for grinding/polishing operations to be performed consistently at the set pressing force. This technology can increase the speed of devices and robots, thereby improving processing speed and cycle time. Additionally, in robotic polishing and grinding, the ACF itself controls the pressing pressure by adjusting its stroke, eliminating the need to move the heavy robot arm for corrections, which assists in improving the processing speed of robotic polishing. Furthermore, it automatically compensates for tool load due to gravity, which varies with the angle of the robot, ensuring a consistent pressing pressure from any angle and enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies.

【FerRobotics】Exhibiting at the 2023 International Robot Exhibition! Displaying multiple types of robotic systems for polishing automation solutions! Achieving the automation of skilled tasks such as polishing and grinding, which were previously considered impossible, along with reduced cycle times and high-quality finishes.

Our unique technology (Autonomous Contact Force Correction Technology (ACT)) enables end effectors to automate polishing and grinding of skilled tasks that were previously deemed impossible, achieving shorter cycle times and high-quality finishes. In response to variations in workpiece dimensions and other changes in the processing target, it autonomously corrects the contact force instantly, ensuring uniform contact force during processing. Gravity correction is also performed autonomously, applying uniform contact force regardless of angle, and easily maintaining finishing quality for workpieces with R shapes, among others. Additionally, due to the high correction speed, even when increasing the robot's trajectory speed, the contact force can be kept constant, allowing for processing and achieving reduced cycle times. 2023 International Robot Exhibition Venue: Tokyo Big Sight Dates: November 29 (Wed) - December 2 (Sat), 2023 Booth: W3-36 You can see the world's technology up close.
