Automating the removal of welding beads. FerRobotics' force control autonomous correction end effector achieves shorter cycle times and high-quality finishing in robotic polishing. Available for heavy grinding, standard grinding, and small part grinding.

In the removal of welding beads that requires skilled techniques, FerRobotics' ACT technology performs high-speed automatic correction control of the "difference" in contact pressure (force) that occurs during processing, allowing for consistent grinding/polishing at the set pressing force.
With the end effector (ACF) utilizing this ACT technology, it automatically adjusts to changes in the dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-flat surfaces of the workpiece by rapidly extending and retracting the stroke, maintaining contact with the workpiece at the set force.
This technology can increase the speed of the device or robot's trajectory, thereby enhancing processing speed and improving cycle time. Additionally, in robotic polishing and grinding, the ACF controls the pressing pressure through the extension and retraction of its stroke, eliminating the need to move the heavy robot arm for corrections, which further assists in improving the processing speed of robotic polishing. Furthermore, it automatically corrects the tool load due to gravity changes based on the robot's angle, ensuring a consistent pressing force from any angle and enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies.
