Site Investigation | Investigation to Identify Support Layers in a Small Steel Building Where Large Heavy Machinery Cannot Enter

Supports the construction of steel frame buildings in urban areas with limited space where large heavy machinery cannot enter! Automatically measures deep supporting layers with automatic ram sounding tests.

In urban areas, the construction of steel frame buildings on narrow plots often faces challenges due to site width and restrictions on the delivery of large boring survey machinery. The "Automatic Ram Sounding Test" proposed by Geotech utilizes a compact self-propelled survey machine with a width of just 830 mm, enabling smooth surveys even in tight spaces and sites with delivery limitations. Equipped with an automatic continuous penetration mechanism using a 63.5 kg hammer, it can continuously advance and measure through hard layers exceeding an N value of 30, which traditional SWS tests cannot address, as well as deeper layers. Additionally, by automatically acquiring the number of blows (Nd value) and rotational torque every 200 mm of penetration, it corrects for the effects of side friction and calculates highly accurate ground data that correlates well with the N value from standard penetration tests. Since there is no need to assemble scaffolding, installation and removal are easy, allowing for rapid verification of bearing layers while significantly reducing costs. This greatly contributes to the safe design of pile foundations and the efficiency of processes in the construction and renovation of steel frame buildings in urban areas.

Ground investigation Category A (Geological survey companies, ground foundation methods, piles)

Ideal for residential development projects on filled land! Our unique analysis standards and SDS testing prevent over-design, ensuring both safety and cost-effectiveness.

In the construction of subdivided built-for-sale houses on developed embankment land in hilly and sloped areas, the risks of differential settlement due to ground unevenness and the excessive ground reinforcement costs to avoid this have become significant challenges. Geotech provides unique ground investigation and analysis solutions that accurately capture the complex ground behavior specific to embankment land, achieving a high level of safety and cost efficiency. Our investigations adopt a unique evaluation standard consisting of three items and eight elements: "ground strength, shrinkage, and deformation," in addition to legal standards. Furthermore, by introducing the SDS test, which digitally measures torque and penetration speed, we have achieved accurate automatic identification of soil types that was difficult with traditional SWS tests. We analyze the thickness of the embankment, years elapsed, compaction level, and soil settlement characteristics from multiple angles, allowing us to precisely calculate the allowable stress beneath the foundation. This leads to "optimal foundation design," preventing unnecessary long piles and excessive ground improvement, and strongly supports the reduction of total costs for built-for-sale houses and the assurance of long-term safety.

Site Investigation | Balancing Safety and Cost in the Sale of Newly Built Homes on Embankments

Thorough analysis of differential settlement risks in subdivided built-for-sale houses on filled land using surrounding environmental and geological data. We achieve optimal foundation design that eliminates waste.

When constructing prefabricated houses on embankment sites such as those created by terracing, there is a hidden risk of significant differential settlement accidents due to the uneven ground bearing capacity within the site and the influence of ancillary structures such as retaining walls and soil supports. Geotech's ground surveys provide a comprehensive risk assessment that goes beyond mere measurements of ground strength. They integrate terrain classification, preliminary investigations of past land history, and on-site inspections to confirm anomalies such as cracks in neighboring houses and deformations of retaining walls. Particularly, vulnerabilities that are often overlooked, such as the boundary between cut and fill (cut-and-fill crossing) and insufficient compaction of backfill soil behind retaining walls, are revealed three-dimensionally through data balance from SWS tests and elevation surveys. The resulting complex data is analyzed from multiple angles by experienced specialized staff, allowing for the calculation of true ground bearing capacity that excludes irregular factors. By preventing the overestimation of ground risks, unnecessary ground reinforcement can be eliminated, strongly supporting "optimal foundation design" that ensures both profit for the prefabricated housing business and reliable safety.

Significant reduction of excessive ground improvement costs! Proposal for optimal foundation design based on high-precision SDS testing and settlement analysis for residential buildings on embankment land.

In the areas where the construction of subdivided built houses is progressing on embankment sites, excessive reinforcement based on overly cautious safety factors is rampant due to concerns about subsurface irregularities and settlement risks after land development, leading to rising construction costs. Geotech offers ground investigation services that ensure safety while cutting unnecessary construction costs through high-precision measurements and logical analysis. This service introduces the SDS test, which automatically identifies soil types (such as sandy soil, clayey soil, and humus soil) through torque measurement, allowing for detailed numerical representation of the embankment's composition. Furthermore, it conducts settlement simulations based on an annual analysis of 100,000 data points, comprehensively evaluating stress distribution at depths of 2m and 5m below the foundation, the number of years since land development, and the deformation angles within the site. This approach eliminates uniform judgments regarding columnar improvements and pile work, presenting an "optimal foundation design" that can be addressed with direct foundations or minimal improvements. It is an ideal ground investigation solution that enhances the profitability of builders while providing a solid basis for safety to buyers of subdivided houses.

Site Investigation | Precise Survey to Determine the Inclination of Support Layers for Riverfront Condominium Development

Clarifying the slope of the supporting layer essential for the construction of riverside condominiums! Geotech's precise ground investigation prevents excessive pile length through multi-point surveys and data analysis.

In the condominium project being constructed along the river, it is extremely important to take appropriate measures against the risks associated with understanding river flow, the complex deposition of alluvial layers due to historical changes, and the steep inclination of supporting layers underground over short distances. If there are insufficient survey points, misjudgment of the depth of the supporting layers can lead to settlement accidents due to inadequate pile length, or excessive safety factors may result in the design of unnecessarily long piles, significantly inflating construction costs. The precise ground investigation services provided by Geotech efficiently conduct dynamic penetration tests, such as automatic ram sounding tests, at multiple locations in addition to standard penetration tests through boring investigations. By highly correlating the obtained high-density continuous data with the company's extensive surrounding ground database "GEODAS," we accurately identify the inclination of supporting layers and uneven layer composition across the entire site in three dimensions. This allows for pinpoint optimization of the length of each pile, significantly reducing unnecessary pile material costs and construction expenses while maintaining structural safety.

Ground Investigation | Visualization Survey of Bearing Capacity to Optimize Pile Layout for New Building Construction on Soft Ground

3D visualization of ground bearing capacity in building construction on weak ground! By linking structural calculations, we reduce excessive piling while ensuring both safety and cost-effectiveness.

This solution is a ground consulting service that optimizes pile placement by integrating high-precision visualization of bearing capacity and structural calculation models in building construction plans on soft ground. Traditional foundation designs that rely solely on single-point boring surveys tend to overestimate safety factors to accommodate uneven support layer undulations, leading to unnecessary pile driving and excessive specifications for pile diameter and quantity. Geotech integrates precise multi-point sounding surveys and detailed laboratory soil test data within the site to accurately visualize the three-dimensional distribution of ground bearing capacity and the irregularities of support layers. By conducting precise optimal stress analysis that correlates the highly reliable bearing capacity constants obtained with the axial and lateral forces of each column in the superstructure, we derive the minimum necessary number of piles and appropriately optimized pile lengths in millimeter increments while maintaining structural safety. This preemptively resolves unexpected issues such as insufficient pile lengths or excessive pile head cutting processes at the construction site, directly leading to significant reductions in construction costs and material expenses. Furthermore, the clear calculation basis provided in the judgment report facilitates smoother reviews.

Site Investigation | Precise Bearing Capacity Evaluation Survey to Optimize Pile Layout for New Construction on Soft Ground

Prevent construction troubles in new buildings on weak ground! By visualizing soil bearing capacity with high precision, we prevent excess or insufficient pile lengths and reduce overall site costs.

This solution is a high-precision ground investigation service that completely eliminates issues such as insufficient pile length, excessive pile driving, and construction rework troubles that are likely to occur during the construction of new buildings on soft ground. In construction sites with uneven soft soil layers or inclined bearing layers, unexpected drops in bearing layers can be discovered due to misjudgments from conventional coarse investigations, often resulting in the need for additional pile length or work stoppages. GeoTech employs a fully automated continuous measurement system to automatically collect penetration resistance and rotational torque at multiple points within the site at high density, in 200mm increments. Based on the reliable electronic data obtained, the three-dimensional undulations of the bearing layer and the allowable vertical bearing capacity are clearly visualized, allowing for the precise identification of the minimum necessary pile length and pile arrangement corresponding to the placement positions under each column in advance. This dramatically compresses unnecessary on-site tasks such as cutting and chipping of excess pile heads and reduces excessive equipment downtime, directly leading to significant reductions in overall construction costs and project timelines while ensuring safe and smooth site operations.

Site Investigation | Visualization Survey of Ground Bearing Capacity to Optimize Pile Layout for New Building Construction on Demolition Site

Visualizing ground resistance by overcoming underground obstacles during the construction of a new building on a demolition site! Preventing overdesign while simultaneously achieving optimal pile placement and cost reduction in construction.

This solution targets new building construction plans in demolition sites and redevelopment areas, providing high-precision ground consulting services that accurately visualize deep soil bearing capacity while eliminating the impact of underground obstacles and optimizing pile placement. In uneven fill and backfill ground mixed with old foundations and concrete debris, traditional simple surveys often fail to penetrate, leading to concerns about unexpected settlement risks and the tendency to choose overly conservative designs with excessive pile lengths and numbers due to inflated safety factors. Geotech employs a sounding test machine with high penetration capability to safely penetrate underground debris layers and obtain true bearing layer data up to a depth of 30 meters. By using automatic torque correction to negate the effects of side friction, we accurately digitize the effective N-value strength in 200mm increments. This data is directly linked to the superstructure calculation model to pinpoint the optimal pile placement and appropriate pile lengths. This approach completely prevents rework on-site and pile eccentricity issues, achieving reliable structural safety protection and construction cost reduction.

Site Investigation | Optimizing Pile Layout for New Construction on Weak Soil Using DB Composite Ground Bearing Capacity Survey

Clarifying the unevenness of the supporting layer for new buildings on soft ground through the comparison of wide-area ground databases and multi-point measurements! Preventing excessive pile design and achieving optimization of pile placement.

This solution is a ground consulting service that highly integrates and correlates extensive ground database and multi-point field sounding measurements for building new construction plans on soft ground. In sites where uneven soft soil layers and complex undulations of bearing layers are hidden, relying solely on single-point investigations can lead to evaluation errors of the supporting ground, directly resulting in excessive designs such as unnecessary extensions of pile lengths and increases in the number of piles. Geotech immediately cross-references accumulated surrounding boring data (GEODAS) with continuous Nd values and torque data obtained on-site. This allows for the precise identification of the three-dimensional transition of ground bearing capacity and local soft spots. By directly linking the visualized ground bearing capacity values with structural calculation models, we determine the minimal pile layout and optimized pile lengths in millimeter increments according to stress concentration under columns. This prevents rework of pile head drilling and chipping at the construction site, significantly optimizing construction budgets and timelines.

Disaster Prevention: Geological Survey and Well Drilling

Listen to the message from the earth and assess the liquefaction risk.

In the field of disaster prevention, it is important to minimize damage caused by liquefaction during an earthquake. Liquefaction occurs when the ground contains a lot of moisture, and the shaking from an earthquake causes soil particles to become loose, leading to building tilting and ground subsidence. To address this issue, accurate ground information is essential. Our geological survey and drilling services provide the foundational data needed to assess liquefaction risk and support safe design and construction. 【Usage Scenarios】 * Ground surveys in areas with potential liquefaction * Consideration of liquefaction countermeasures for existing buildings * Collection of ground information for disaster prevention planning 【Benefits of Implementation】 * Visualization of liquefaction risk * Implementation of appropriate liquefaction countermeasures * Improvement of building safety
