In this survey method, the Standard Penetration Test (JIS A 1219) and the Automatic Ram Sounding Test (in accordance with JIS A 1221) are combined and conducted. A hammer weighing 63.5 kg is automatically dropped from a height of 50 cm, and the number of blows (Nd value) for every 20 cm of penetration is continuously measured up to a depth of 30 m. A super compact self-propelled crawler machine with a total width of 830 mm is used, allowing for smooth setup even in narrow access routes and limited spaces. An automatic recording device eliminates human errors, and the acquired data is automatically cross-referenced and analyzed with the nearby boring column diagrams in the in-house database GEODAS.
