Site Investigation | Ground Investigation for Environmentally Considerate and Cost-Reducing Residential Development on Embankment Land
Ground investigation
High-precision surveys for the sale of built houses on filled land! By selecting the optimal ground reinforcement method and reducing excess soil, we achieve both safety and cost-effectiveness.
In the construction of subdivided houses built on filled land, the rising costs associated with unnecessary ground reinforcement work and large-scale disposal of surplus soil have become significant challenges that drive up construction costs. Geotech's ground surveys achieve both safety assurance and reduction of environmental impact and costs through high-precision data measurement and optimization of construction methods. The surveys utilize the SDS test, which automatically identifies soil types, to calculate accurate settlement amounts based on the underground soil layers. By applying our unique three-item, eight-factor criteria based on "strength, shrinkage, and deformation," we can pinpoint the necessity of reinforcement and the required improvement depth. This approach helps avoid excessive columnar improvements and steel pipe piles, allowing us to propose the most cost-effective reinforcement plans, including surface improvements and direct foundations. This significantly reduces surplus soil disposal costs and construction expenses, greatly contributing to builders' profit enhancement and providing high reliability to buyers.

basic information
Automatic measurements are performed using the SDS and SWS testing equipment, accurately determining soil classification (such as sandy soil, clayey soil, humus soil, etc.) based on penetration resistance, torque values, and rotation speed. The analysis considers load propagation and settlement characteristics at depths of 2m and 5m beneath the foundation, evaluating long-term allowable stress. Using a uniquely developed three-item, eight-factor standard and a database of 100,000 analysis records per year, the suitability of various construction methods (such as direct foundations, surface improvement, column improvement, and small-diameter steel pipe piles) is comprehensively assessed.

Applications/Examples of results
It is ideal for new foundation ground investigations of subdivided built-for-sale houses and subdivided single-family homes in filled land and hilly development areas. It is utilized by construction builders who want to accurately determine the necessity of ground reinforcement work and significantly reduce unnecessary improvement costs and soil disposal expenses. Additionally, the visualized high-precision ground assessment reports are widely used as explanatory materials on ground safety for home buyers and as submission data for ground guarantees and insurance assessments.
