We introduce a battery-less multi-purpose sensor using Mg air batteries. ■ Battery-less Sensor This is a groundbreaking device that applies and further evolves the technology of battery-less liquid detection sensors. The core of this sensor consists of a sensor element that starts generating power when it comes into contact with water, a water bag, and a wireless transmitter (BLE or LPWA) integrated into one structure. When an external force is applied, the internal water bag bursts, generating power and activating the wireless transmitter. The most significant feature is its battery-less design, which allows installation in locations where power supply is difficult and can withstand long periods of inactivity, greatly contributing to labor reduction. ■ Design Versatility This unique design allows it to function as a sensor that responds to various external forces such as pressure, tensile force, shear force, and impact force. It is the size of a ballpoint pen. Of course, the sensor part does not require power supply and does not need explosion-proof measures.
