One of the significant challenges in electronic components and circuit board design is deformation caused by heat. This time, I will discuss thermal warping that occurs due to temperature changes in multilayer structures with different materials in each layer.

Many people may have experienced issues such as unstable operation or missing communication data with digital control boards, albeit rarely. This "rarely" is quite troublesome, as it is usually difficult to reproduce the malfunction. Furthermore, capturing that malfunction, analyzing the cause, and implementing the correct countermeasures requires a certain level of experience. These sporadic issues may be related to the waveform quality of signals that use edges, such as clocks. In this article, I will briefly introduce the malfunctions caused by edge disturbances.

In addition to the design and prototyping of general boards equipped with general-purpose ICs and passive components, WTI also conducts the design and prototyping of evaluation boards using bare semiconductor chips for universities and research institutions, which is not widely known.
