Ground reinforcement work | Low-noise ETP-G method ideal for construction in narrow sites and residential areas.
Ground reinforcement work
With compact construction equipment and low noise and vibration technology, we can smoothly handle narrow sites and densely populated residential areas! The ETP-G method achieves reliable advanced support strength.
In ground reinforcement work in residential areas and urban narrow sites, it is essential to control noise and vibration and to consider the safety of adjacent buildings. Geotech's ETP-G method is a rotary driven steel pipe pile method equipped with a disc-shaped enlarged wing and a triangular excavation auxiliary bit at the tip, achieving high-quality installation without burdening the surrounding environment even in confined spaces. Its greatest feature is the structural design that prevents wobbling during rotary penetration, allowing for smooth propulsion. Since it does not use cement milk, there is no dust or mud splatter, maintaining cleanliness on site. Furthermore, by using a compact and powerful dedicated construction machine, low-noise and low-vibration construction is possible even in environments with limited working space. The applicable range is broad, covering small buildings of three stories or less and under 13 meters in height, as well as retaining walls, with the ability to select the optimal specifications from various outer diameter and wing diameter sizes. Geotech has established a consistent safety management system, from preliminary site surveys to neighbor protection, torque management during construction, and quality checks, providing peace of mind to both local residents and clients.

basic information
The specifications for the ETP-G method include an outer diameter of the shaft steel pipe ranging from φ89.1mm to φ216.3mm (a total of 7 types), a wall thickness of 3.2mm to 12.7mm, and materials of STK400 and STK490. The tip wing diameter ranges from 223mm to 620mm (thickness of 12mm to 22mm, material SM490A, etc.), with a total of 45 types available to accommodate various load conditions and ground types. The compatible ground types include sandy soil, gravelly soil, and clayey soil, and the allowable vertical bearing capacity is calculated based on data from SWS and SRS tests. The construction depth is 130 times the pile diameter and no more than 19.2m, and compact construction machinery is used to ensure reliable stopping management.

Applications/Examples of results
This construction method is ideal for small-scale buildings such as single-family homes and apartments that are three stories or fewer (under 13 meters in height and with a total floor area of 1,500 square meters or less), as well as for ground reinforcement of retaining walls and structures under 3.5 meters in height. It is particularly effective in narrow sites or irregularly shaped land where the transport of large heavy machinery is difficult, as well as in urban areas where residential buildings are adjacent during reconstruction work. Additionally, since it is a no-excavation method that does not use cement solidifiers, it is widely utilized in construction sites that want to maintain cleanliness around the site, avoid noise and vibration complaints from nearby residential areas, and minimize environmental impact in environmentally conscious building projects.
