Control of megahertz ultrasonic oscillation and surface acoustic waves.

The Ultrasonic System Research Institute is developing applied system technologies that utilize surface acoustic waves through ultrasonic control.
By combining ultrasonic (oscillation control) with surface acoustic waves, we achieve dynamic ultrasonic propagation control.
The key point is the setting of oscillation conditions (waveform, output, frequency, variations, etc.) that enables efficient control of nonlinear phenomena caused by surface acoustic waves.
As specific technologies, we have developed system technologies that control nonlinear phenomena (bicoherence) resulting from the interaction of ultrasonic waves with water tanks and tools, tailored to specific purposes (cleaning, stirring, processing, welding, surface treatment, stress relief treatment, inspection, etc.).
As a result of utilizing measurement and analysis techniques for ultrasonic propagation states, we have confirmed that:
1) Control of harmonics beyond the 50th order has been achieved,
2) Resonance phenomena and nonlinear phenomena below 20 kHz can be optimized,
3) It can be applied to multiple ultrasonic oscillations.
Confirming the acoustic characteristics of the system (measurement, analysis, evaluation) and adjusting the oscillation control conditions is our know-how.
