Standard equipment includes a liquid tank and a set liquid tank. Just prepare the sample and you're good to go! You can comfortably conduct filtration tests without the strenuous actions of bending over.

The specially designed slim basket and transparent casing allow for visual observation of the filtration process, enabling testing of small initial samples under various conditions. This helps reduce the cost of expensive samples and contributes to shortening experimental time and development periods. The lab centrifuge LAC Type S has been modularized for easier use. It now comes standard with a feed tank and a filtrate tank that were previously necessary for filtration tests. Since the centrifuge is set up on a cart, it allows for comfortable filtration testing without the need for strenuous movements like bending down. - Separation of small samples is possible. Since separation tests can be conducted with small amounts of samples, the time required for testing can be significantly reduced. Additionally, testing under different conditions can be easily performed. - Research and development time can be shortened. This time, in addition to the casing opening and closing mechanism, we propose our optional CIP cleaning and basket lift-up device. We received an inquiry from Company F, a manufacturer of pharmaceutical raw materials, stating, "It is unavoidable that residual heel remains in the centrifuge for safety reasons, but due to the high drug prices, we would like to increase the amount that can be recovered in one batch as much as possible." In response, we proposed and delivered a centrifuge equipped with a residual crystal separation device (screw). As a result of using our centrifuge, it has become possible to increase the recovery rate of crystals by several percent to over ten percent, leading to an expected increase in profit margins. [Case Study] We want to increase the processing capacity per unit in the construction of a new building.

We proposed the MARKβ, a top-driven bottom-discharge centrifuge, to Company M, a manufacturer of chemical raw materials, which boasts the largest processing capacity in our company.

As a result of using our centrifuge, we have received feedback that both production efficiency and output have increased. Typically, the maximum processing capacity for the MARK 3 (top image) at the maximum size of 60-40 inches is 940 liters. However, after consultation between our technical department and the customer, we designed it to increase the capacity to 1027 liters. Additionally, to shorten processing time, we proposed a large scraping blade called the "1-Motion Scraper" that performs only the rotation motion, instead of the usual 2-motion (up and down, rotation) scraping device, along with a "Scraping Air Blow" that uses high-pressure air to dislodge the crystals. **Features** - **Special Basket Design**: By designing a special basket size different from existing sizes, we increased the processing capacity. - **1-Motion Scraper**: Instead of the usual two motions of rotation and elevation, we equipped a large scraper that matches the height of the basket, allowing for crystal scraping with just one rotational motion, thus achieving a reduction in scraping time. - **Scraping Air Blow**: By injecting air from the scraping device, we promote the dislodging of crystals with air pressure in addition to the usual scraping effect, further reducing scraping time.

【Case Study】Automatically recover all crystals without exposure!

It is possible to recover the entire amount of high-priced crystals. Furthermore, production in a sealed environment is possible, which reduces the risks of contamination and exposure, and fully automated operation is also feasible.

We received an inquiry from Company O, a manufacturer of electronic materials, stating, "We want to automatically discharge crystals without exposure. Additionally, since the unit price of the product is high, we want to recover all of it." In response, we proposed the all-recovery type centrifuge "FLOWM." [About FLOWM] While conventional top-discharge types allow for complete recovery, they pose a risk of foreign matter contamination due to the open state during product retrieval. Furthermore, manual retrieval by operators is essential, which increases the operator's workload and consequently raises labor costs. On the other hand, fully automatic bottom-discharge types tend to leave residual crystals, making complete recovery difficult, and they are inferior to top-discharge types in terms of cleanability. This is where the cloth-inversion type centrifuge FLOWM comes into focus. The cloth-inversion type FLOWM eliminates the need for a scraping device that is essential in fully automatic systems, allowing for the retrieval of crystals by inverting the filter cloth, thus enabling complete recovery. Moreover, it allows for production in a sealed environment, reducing the risks of contamination and exposure, and it can operate fully automatically. It also boasts excellent cleanability, enabling cleaning in a sealed state. Additionally, the opening and closing device is standardly equipped and is designed to operate without requiring power, contributing to an oil-free operation.

The existing MARK 3 was updated from hydraulic drive to inverter drive. This led to a shortened production schedule and a reduction in consumables, resulting in cost savings.

We received an inquiry from Company N, a manufacturer producing refined white sugar as a pharmaceutical additive, stating, "We are currently using an existing MARK 3 hydraulic machine, which is aging, and we are considering upgrading to an inverter type. However, since we operate 24 hours, switching from hydraulic to inverter type with two motions would extend the production schedule due to longer startup and braking times. We want to shorten the schedule as much as possible." In response, we proposed and delivered an inverter type with one motion instead of the existing two-motion scraper, as reducing startup and braking times would cause it to stop due to overload. In terms of the movement of the scraper component: - In the case of two motions, the sequence is: engagement → descent → retraction → ascent. - In one motion, the sequence is: engagement → retraction only. By adopting one motion, we can shorten the production schedule. Our technical department calculated the time estimates for the one-motion setup, confirming that production could be achieved with a schedule nearly identical to the hydraulic system. Additionally, since there are no consumable scraper bellows, we could also reduce costs. Examples of the delivery of centrifuges that allow for separation testing in research and development conditions, and where the movement and installation of the equipment can be made as simple as possible.

We received an inquiry from Company D, a contract manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates, asking, "Do you have a centrifuge capable of performing separation tests for research and development conditions? Additionally, is there a model that allows for easy movement and installation of the equipment?" In response, we proposed our laboratory centrifuge model LAC-2000, which they adopted. Considering the possibility of testing with very small sample sizes, we suggested a configuration that allows for the installation of a basket from model LAC-400. This design enables adjustments in capacity based on sample volume and slurry characteristics, thereby reducing test time. As a result of introducing our centrifuge, they reported that the ability to conduct repeated separation tests with small sample sizes significantly shortened the time required for condition setting. Regarding the detachment and disassembly of the basket for cleaning, traditional centrifuges typically require specialized knowledge and tools. However, our LAC-2000 allows for easy detachment with standard tools, which has also reduced the burden on operators. Its compact size makes it suitable for laboratory installation, and it can be used in various locations with a 100V power supply.

In response, we proposed an electron beam screen (metal filter) that eliminates the need for filter cloth replacement, and they adopted it. As a result of using our centrifuge, we received positive feedback regarding: - Reduced burden on the operating personnel - Improved cleanability of the basket inside the machine In a top discharge centrifuge, the operating personnel must manually remove solid materials. However, this is quite labor-intensive, and the difficulty increases if the solids are hard. Furthermore, with medium-sized machines around 42 inches, the solids to be removed can exceed 100 kg.
