A centrifuge designed for multi-use in testing, featuring easy casing opening and closing for convenient cleaning, along with a robust interlock system.
We received an inquiry from Company K, a manufacturer that produces numerous chemicals, stating, "We would like a centrifuge for testing purposes. Since it will be used for multiple applications, it would be great to have a design that allows for easy opening and closing of the casing, is easy to clean, and has a solid interlock system." In response, we proposed and delivered a centrifuge equipped with a "casing opening and closing device (handle type)," "various interlock functions," and a "top cover lock cylinder." As a result of using our centrifuge, the time required for cleaning, which previously involved heavy lifting to remove the casing for product changes, has been reduced to just a few seconds, significantly improving time, cost, and work efficiency. Most importantly, we have heard from the operators that the workload has decreased significantly, making it quite valuable to them. Additionally, for this project, we opted for a manual opening and closing device using a reduction gear instead of hydraulic drive due to the machine's size. This device is oil-free, making it easy to use even in clean rooms. ↓ Continue to basic information

Furthermore, in the case of top discharge models, there may be instances where safety devices such as interlocks are not installed due to the impression of being a user-friendly machine. However, this time, at the request of our users, we have incorporated numerous interlocks, resulting in a centrifuge that is more focused on safety. We have received positive feedback as a centrifuge that contributes to the safety of operators. 【Delivered Model】 ■ Top Discharge Centrifuge "KM" ・Easy to use with simple operation, ideal for small batch and diverse separations ・The hydraulic direct drive model equipped with a casing plate opening and closing mechanism is effective for clean room and GMP compliance. *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.

[Casing Opening and Closing Mechanism (Handle Opening and Closing Specification)] During internal cleaning, it is usually difficult to wash the casing (the outer part of the centrifuge) without suspending it, but this option allows for cleaning without suspension using hydraulic cylinders or similar devices. Regarding the drive, there are various options such as hydraulic, electric, and manual. In this example, depending on the machine size, manual opening and closing can be adopted, and there are cases where power is not required.

【Interlocks】 1) The machine cannot operate if the casing is not closed (detected by a limit switch). 2) The machine cannot operate if the canopy is not closed (detected by a limit switch). 3) The machine will emergency stop if it experiences abnormal vibrations (detected by an abnormal vibration device). 4) Adoption of a canopy lock cylinder → A lock cylinder is installed on the canopy, and while the machine is operating, the cylinder extends to physically prevent the canopy from opening. Detection is performed based on the rotation speed. By incorporating interlocks as described above, it is possible to prevent operation under dangerous conditions and ensure the safety of the operator.
