The SSOO nut is a "heat press-in type insert nut (outsert nut)" that achieves high "torque resistance performance" and "pull-out strength." It prevents the nut from rotating (spinning) or pulling out during high torque tightening, ensuring safe fastening of resin products. The SSOO nut has solved various problems for our customers. 【Case 1】 - High tightening torque is required, but the insert nut spins. → It meets tightening requirements with high torque resistance performance, fastening resin components without spinning. 【Case 2】 - To reduce weight, we want to decrease the number of screws used. → It achieves a reduction in the number of screws used with high pull-out strength while ensuring fastening strength. Additionally, it has realized many benefits such as reducing environmental impact and responding to strong vibrations. For more details, please refer to the "SSOO Nut Adoption Case Collection." If you are struggling with fastening resin at high torque, please take a look at the materials. You will understand why we were able to develop the original SSOO nut that can handle high torque tightening. Please check it out from the link.

Free membership registrationMany "screw products" such as bolts and nuts are manufactured using "forging." "Forging" is a processing method that uses molds to shape metal materials by compressing them. It has many advantages, such as good yield, suitability for mass production, and increased strength due to work hardening. Although both are "screw products," bolts and nuts differ in materials, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing equipment. At Daiichi Kogyo, as a specialized group that manufactures both bolts and nuts, we have accumulated production and manufacturing technologies that correspond to each of these differences. We also utilize FEM analysis to conduct forging simulations, which are applied in process design and mold design. The reason we can manufacture both bolts and nuts can be found in the link below: "Production and Manufacturing Technology of the Specialized Group." A specialized group that manufactures both bolts and nuts has compiled "Basic Knowledge of Forging." We provide a clear explanation of the actual processing steps with accompanying photographs. Improvement examples utilizing FEM analysis are also included. Please download and take a look.

Free membership registrationDaiichi Kogyo is a specialized group that develops and manufactures fastening components, including bolts and nuts. 【What a specialized group can do】 While "forging" is the common method for screw manufacturing, "cutting" is also an important processing technique for screw production when complex shapes or additional processes like drilling are required. Daiichi Kogyo possesses the manufacturing know-how necessary for "forging," "cutting," and "welding" in screw production. We can perform "composite processing" that combines these techniques. Forging + Cutting + Welding ⇒ Composite products With the accumulation of each processing technique, we can set up processes that leverage the characteristics of each method. 【Manufacturing Example】Production of parts with strict precision requirements. ● When manufactured using only "forging," the load on the mold increases, raising concerns about mold lifespan and quality deterioration. ↓ ● By switching from "forging" to "cutting" for manufacturing, we can reduce the load on the mold and lower forging costs, achieving quality improvement as well. For more details, please visit the following 【Daiichi Kogyo Co., Ltd. Fastener Division Fastening Components Site】. We are currently offering free technical materials that provide basic knowledge of screw manufacturing techniques, including "cutting and welding." Please download and take a look.

Free membership registrationAre you struggling with "fastening of resin"? With resin, you can achieve fastening using "bolts + nuts" by utilizing dedicated screws. Dedicated screws include insert nuts and insert bolts that are embedded in the resin. In softer resins compared to iron, embedded bolts or nuts can rotate together, leading to deformation or breakage of the resin. Have you ever experienced deformation of resin products due to "nut rotation"? Our original development of dedicated screws for resin (Octa Lobular(R) series) features a special octagonal head shape that ensures high torque resistance and high pull-out strength. Even when tightened with high torque, it prevents "rotation" and "pull-out," protecting resin products. You can choose from various types of insert nuts (simultaneous molding type, press-fit type, and both with caps) and insert bolts (both simultaneous molding and post-embedding options) according to your specifications. If you're wondering, "What is an insert nut?" please refer to our technical document "Basic Knowledge of Insert Nuts." It clearly explains the usage of insert nuts and compatible resins, covering the "basics of insert nuts." You can view it via PDF download.

Free membership registrationScrews are small components, but they play a significant role as functional parts in "fastening." Performance evaluation is essential to shape our customers' requests. For example, we have a series of screws designed for special octagonal shapes in resin. The starting point was a customer's request for a nut that wouldn't rotate when embedded in resin. Using FEM analysis, we selected the optimal shape from 40 different designs. Collaborating with the production technology and manufacturing departments, we developed an insert nut that can withstand high torque fastening. To turn requests into reality, it is necessary to have evaluation capabilities to ensure proposed performance. During the development stage, we need to consider performance requirements and mass production feasibility, and after development, we must confirm the design performance and mass production quality, among various evaluations. Our company is equipped with various testing and evaluation facilities, including those developed in collaboration with academia. You can understand the basics of screw performance evaluation, including what kind of equipment is used and what evaluations are conducted. We also provide actual evaluation examples. Please take a look at our development and evaluation tests to shape our customers' requests. More details can be downloaded, and feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

Free membership registrationAre you having trouble with fastening resin? Parts like "color bush spacers" are helpful components for resin. Small metal parts play a role in protecting the resin and adding functionality. Soft materials like resin can crack or deform when tightened with high torque, leading to loosening of the fastening. For lightweight resin functional parts, metal collars to reinforce the fastening area are essential. By embedding collars into the soft resin material, we protect against cracking and deformation during fastening. Additionally, we add a metal touch to the resin, enhancing its functionality to prevent loosening. As a specialist in screws that manufactures both bolts and nuts, we offer suitable component suggestions. We have collars with knurling on the outer circumference to prevent disengagement. Originally, the design included knurling plus horizontal grooves. Upon reviewing the fastening assembly, we determined that knurling alone would suffice for disengagement prevention and proposed this to our customer, reducing the machining costs for the horizontal grooves. We handle a variety of collars in different materials, shapes, and types. We also respond to technical inquiries. Please feel free to consult us about any shape.

Free membership registrationThe founder of Daiichi Kogyo Co., Ltd., Akira Suzuki, was the first in Japan to manufacture and sell a bag nut (JIS Type 3 cap nut) with a cap formed by pressing onto a nut. Since its launch, it has received positive feedback for being lighter and more affordable compared to traditional cutting types, and it has evolved into a wide variety of forms to suit various applications. From this bag nut series, we offer the "SS-UFO Cap Nut," which can be tightened with a screwdriver. The "SS-UFO Cap Nut" is a special bag nut with recesses (such as a cross hole) in the cap part. Even in tight spaces where a wrench cannot be used, this "SS-UFO Cap Nut" can be tightened with just one screwdriver. Please consider it in cases where hex nuts are difficult to tighten due to design constraints, or when you want to improve workability in small and narrow spaces. There are two head shapes available: pan (cross hole) and truss (cross hole). For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Free membership registrationThe "E-LOCK Nut" handled by Daiichi Industry features a three-blade design that enhances its anti-loosening function and possesses the strength to withstand repeated use. In the case of conventional two-blade products, one blade gets lodged in the thread valley, effectively resulting in a state of anti-loosening with only "one blade," leading to concerns about stability. However, this product's three-blade design effectively increases thread stability with "two blades." Additionally, durability tests under vibration showed no deformation in the three friction rings of this product, proving its ability to withstand repeated use due to the sustained effect of the springs. (Other manufacturers' nuts with high anti-loosening functions may experience deformation.) **Features** 1) The three-blade design provides a more stable anti-loosening effect compared to conventional products. 2) Prevents early detachment even if the tightening axial force decreases. 3) Strong and capable of withstanding repeated use. ★ This product is from Osaka Forming Co., Ltd. Free membership registrationPlastic deformation is applied to metals, and as the degree of deformation increases, work hardening is achieved, resulting in a higher yield point than the original metal. The metal exhibits strong resistance to loads in the direction of the work hardening, but the yield point against loads in the opposite direction decreases, making it easier to undergo plastic deformation at lower stress levels. This phenomenon is called the Bauschinger effect. Our company has developed and launched a molding process technology that suppresses the Bauschinger effect. This special molding process enables the production of bolts with mechanical properties without the need for heat treatment. Non-quenched, medium-strength bolts are products that secure a strength classification equivalent to 8.8 without heat treatment. The absence of heat treatment reduces environmental impact and shortens manufacturing lead times. From development to evaluation, our team of experts is here to assist with the optimal design of screws. Please feel free to reach out to us.

Free membership registrationThe "high-strength, high-corrosion-resistant stainless steel bolt" is made from austenitic stainless steel materials SUS304 and SUS316, which excel in corrosion resistance. By utilizing forging processes to enhance material strength and work hardening, it surpasses the JISB1054 A2 standard values. 【Verification Experiment】 Stainless Steel Bolt Tensile Test (Size: M8 P1.25) ○ Tensile Strength: 1018.3 MPa ○ 0.2% Yield Strength: 854.6 MPa By introducing our self-developed Bauschinger effect suppression processing method into the manufacturing process, we have made it possible to secure strength without heat treatment. ○ It allows for strong processing without enhanced heat treatment, reducing environmental impact. ○ By eliminating the heat treatment process, lead time can be shortened. (※) The Bauschinger effect refers to the phenomenon where, after applying plastic deformation in one direction, applying a load in the opposite direction results in plastic deformation occurring at a lower stress than when a load is applied again in the same direction. This stainless steel bolt achieves both corrosion resistance and strength while also contributing to cost reduction. Detailed technical information is available in the technical report. Free membership registrationThe SSOO nut is a heat-pressed insert nut (outsert nut) that achieves "difficulty in rotation" and "high pull-out strength." 【High Torque Compatibility】 Due to its special octagonal shape (Octa Lobular), it is resistant to free spinning and co-spinning, protecting resin components and allowing for high torque tightening. 【Difficult to Pull Out】 By providing unevenness on the shaft, pull-out strength is improved. It also has high vibration resistance, enabling a reduction in the number of components and weight savings. 【Cost】 Using a widely available material (SWCH10R), there is no need to worry about fluctuations in material costs. High-speed production through forging and rolling allows for cost-effective mass production. 【Usage Method】 Since it can be back-filled through heat pressing, it is easy to handle. This document provides detailed information about the features, specifications, and examples of the SSOO nut. If you are considering the use of insert nuts for resin, please take a look.
