[Construction Case] Shuri High School General Classroom Building Renovation Project Temporary Access Road
It is difficult to secure the delivery route for the renovation of the school building! A temporary delivery route has been secured with embankment in an off-site area.
In this project, we will secure a temporary access route with embankment in the off-site space. Originally, the design included parent piles with horizontal sheet piles (L = 1.5m horizontal sheet piles), but it was anticipated that using L = 1.5m would result in a larger number of parent piles, and there are expected to be underground structures. Therefore, there was a request to reduce the number of parent piles as much as possible, and we discussed the possibility of using quick soil retention (panel) with L = 3.0m. Previously, it was mentioned that there was a construction record using this method at another site of the client, which facilitated smooth discussions and led to the order. We provided the strength calculation report for the soil retention panel with a depth of 3.0m. Regarding the parent piles supporting the panel, we requested the client's lender to consider horizontal sheet piles with 3.0m panels, and it was determined that by adding 1m (from 4m to 5m) for the embedment, it would be feasible for construction.
