The Parent-Child Filler Q type is the only type among parent-child fillers that can transmit shear force to anchor bolts in primary and secondary designs. To achieve this, a specialized grout material called OF-Q grout is used in addition to the steel parent and child fillers. Furthermore, the shear force that can be transmitted is 70% of the allowable shear strength of the anchor bolts used; if this is exceeded, the size or number of anchor bolts must be increased to accommodate it.
