It is a high-viscosity modified asphalt for drainage pavement developed by Nippon Asphalt.
Permeable pavement has characteristics of noise reduction and driving safety during rainy weather, and its installation area has dramatically increased in recent years, particularly on main roads. Additionally, in recent years, due to its features, it may also be referred to as low-noise pavement or high-performance pavement. Because permeable mixtures have high voids, the binder is susceptible to the effects of rainwater and ultraviolet rays, requiring excellent weather resistance. Furthermore, to improve durability against rutting during shared use and the spalling of aggregates due to brittleness in low temperatures, a binder with strong adhesion to the aggregates and high gripping power is necessary.
