The lightning surge that intrudes into the power line and reaches one coil of the lightning protection transformer first attempts to transfer electrostatically (through capacitive coupling) to the other coil. [Case Study] POS System Development Company A

Company A, a manufacturer of POS system development, has been focusing on the spread of tablet-type POS systems and has delivered them to many stores. However, recently, complaints have been received from newly supplied stores stating that "malfunctions occur, making it impossible to operate." Company A conducted daily investigations to resolve this issue, but identifying the cause proved difficult, leading to a prolonged period of uncertainty. We estimated that the conductive noise transmitted through the power line was entering the tablet via the charger, causing the troubles. We proposed the "Noise Cut Transformer," which can eliminate power noise. After installation, the troubles completely disappeared, and normal operations were restored.
