JECA Fair 2025, 73rd Electrical Construction Industry Exhibition May 28 (Wed) - May 30 (Fri), 2025 At the booth of Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. in Intex Osaka, we announced: "Waterproof Sleeve for Underground Exterior Walls (Underground Beam Sleeve) - Pipe in Sleeve" Innovating Underground Beam Sleeve Construction! We apply "waterproof treatment" in advance at the factory to the outer space (gap) between the PVC sleeve and the electrical conduit (E-Flex), delivering it in a prefabricated (integrated) state. At the construction site, there is no need for cumbersome "waterproof treatment," and after installation, only joint connections are required, improving work efficiency and reducing labor. Furthermore, it ensures stable waterproof performance for flood prevention and waterproofing work! Enhancing the waterproof performance of buildings while balancing work efficiency and construction quality! We sincerely appreciate the inquiries we have received from various fields since the launch. Currently, we are experiencing a high volume of inquiries, and for large orders, we kindly ask for orders to be placed with ample lead time beyond the usual delivery schedule. The "Formwork One-Piece Tightening Method" has won the Special Jury Award at the 54th Japan Industrial Technology Awards.
The one-bolt formwork method is a new construction technique in formwork work, the first in about 70 years. Our company, which developed the conventional method (the formwork retention method combining round separators, form ties, and special washers) that has been in use since 1951, along with our joint development partners, has taken on the challenge of developing the one-bolt formwork method. This method reduces the workload of aging skilled workers and less experienced construction workers. Additionally, we have developed a pipe joint that supports the cut ends and ends of pipes, as well as a new type of formwork fastening device called "Next Tie." These developments have led to improved productivity through weight reduction and simplification, ensured safety, and provided concrete solutions to on-site challenges, earning high praise for contributing to society. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Executive Officer and President: Nobuyasu Kasahara), which manufactures and sells construction machinery and chains, as well as related construction work, has recently started selling the "Shear Cutter High Base Method," which has high shear resistance. In our flagship product, the "High Base Method," there has been an issue where, in the design of factories and warehouses, cases where braces are attached to columns resulted in insufficient shear resistance depending on the conditions. We have been working to address this issue. As a result, with this product, even in cases where braces are attached to columns, it has become possible to transmit the shear force from the braces acting on the base plate to the foundation by adopting the "Shear Cutter High Base Method."
