Ground reinforcement work | Reduce costs with the ETP method for shortened construction periods and easy removal!
Ground reinforcement work
A next-generation ground reinforcement ETP method that achieves both shortened construction periods and cost reduction. It builds a solid foundation quickly with no soil disposal and no curing.
This document explains the importance of "ground reinforcement work" in achieving total cost reduction and shortening construction periods in construction projects, as well as the features of the "ETP method" that make this possible. In addressing soft ground, traditional methods faced challenges such as costs for disposing of excess soil and time losses due to curing periods. The ETP method is a soil displacement method that involves rotating and pressing a steel pipe equipped with a disc-shaped expansion wing and a drilling auxiliary bit into the ground. Since it does not use cement, there is no need for a curing period, allowing for immediate transition to the next process after pouring, and there are no costs for soil disposal. Additionally, during reconstruction, the piles can be easily removed and recovered by reversing the rotation, making it an economical and sustainable choice for future land use. With a combination of 16 sizes of pile diameters ranging from φ89.1mm to φ609.6mm and high-strength steel pipes, optimal designs without waste are possible. GeoTech Co., Ltd. significantly contributes to streamlining construction periods and costs while maintaining quality by managing construction data in real-time and ensuring prompt and accurate construction arrangements.

basic information
This is a method for installing steel pipe piles with advanced wings, which has obtained certification from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Press: TACP-0665/0666, etc.) and GBRC performance certification (Pull-out: No. 12-20). The diameter of the shaft steel pipe is available in a total of 16 sizes ranging from φ89.1mm to φ609.6mm, and it is possible to use 590N grade steel pipes (such as SEAH590, HU590, etc.). The maximum construction depth can accommodate 130 times the pile diameter or up to 63.6m for sandy ground, and 130 times the pile diameter or up to 59.43m (57.0m for diameters of φ508.0mm or more) for clayey ground, enabling non-dredging construction in a wide range of sites.

Applications/Examples of results
This method can be widely applied to the foundation reinforcement of general residential buildings with a total floor area of 500,000 square meters or less, as well as commercial facilities, mid- to high-rise apartments, factories, and warehouses. It is particularly suitable for projects that require strict adherence to deadlines due to strong demands for shortened construction periods, as well as sites where there is a desire to reduce soil disposal costs. Additionally, in sustainable construction plans where there is a need to minimize removal costs, such as stores and temporary buildings utilizing fixed-term land leases that are planned to be returned to vacant land in the future, the characteristics of this method, which allows for easy removal through reverse rotation, can be maximally utilized.
