By clearly capturing the inclination of supporting layers and changes in soil bearing capacity from continuous data collected at multiple points within the site, we derive a rational pile placement design that eliminates unnecessary pile driving and excessive lengths, in conjunction with structural calculations. The speedy investigation procedure, which eliminates mud water treatment and large-scale temporary works on site, contributes to significant reductions in construction time and costs while considering the surrounding environment.

This survey employs an automatic ram sounding test using a small self-propelled crawler survey device with a total width of 830mm. An automatic striking mechanism drops a 63.5kg hammer from a height of 500mm, allowing for continuous striking and excavation up to a maximum depth of 30m and to hard strata equivalent to an N value of 50. The penetration resistance Nd value and torque value are electronically recorded at 200mm intervals, and a correlation formula to the standard penetration test N value is used to convert these into a high-precision ground bearing capacity index. The dry measurement, which does not require water treatment, eliminates the generation of mud and sludge, thereby reducing environmental impact.
