System Used: 'Vario Column No-Separator Method' VARIO / Vario Column Formwork System Construction Period: Around May 2016 Minebea Co., Ltd., known for its precision machined parts such as bearings and electronic components like motors, closed its Omori Factory located in Ota City, Tokyo, and built a new factory to relocate its operations to the existing factory site in Matsuidamachi, Anjō City, Gunma Prefecture. There are already two existing factories with a total floor area of 9,606 square meters. 【Site Information】 Site Name: Kashiwa-no-ha Campus Technical Center Construction Project Location: Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan Design and Construction: Kajima Corporation Contractor: Yukawa Construction Co., Ltd. System Used: Large Wall Formwork System 'VARIO GT24 / Wall Formwork' In the Kashiwa-no-ha Campus Technical Center construction project, 'VARIO GT24 / Wall Formwork' was used. It is a non-separating formwork for constructing seismic isolation retaining walls, utilizing two types of panels: flat panels (W1200) and auxiliary panels (W150) to build a polygonal S-curve wall. Plywood with a thickness of 18mm, known for its hardness and strong rigidity, was used, specifically 'PERI Birch.' The site’s requirement was to "shorten the construction period," and by using 'VARIO GT24 / Wall Formwork,' the average height of the formwork (2630mm) could be constructed without separation, achieving a plan to erect a length of 40 meters in one day.
