Free membership registrationHello, Built! This is Tamura from Chuo Built Industry (^_-)-☆ We had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from Company Y, which specializes in large-scale renovation work for condominiums. In some cases, the scaffolding materials such as frames and wedges may not be sufficient, so they expressed interest in our special materials like square columns and multi-trusses. Since there were five visitors this time, we decided to split into two groups to go up on the scaffolding. We have safety harnesses prepared, so as long as you come dressed comfortably for movement, there won't be any issues (*^-^*) As they toured the exhibition, they seemed to become interested in our aluminum step guards as well, and they shared that the lightness when comparing the steel and aluminum versions left a strong impression on them. Additionally, since Company Y mainly focuses on large-scale renovation work, they requested the development of temporary materials like sky fences that can be used in environments where people live. I will promptly share this with our product development department and use it as a hint for future development projects. Thank you for visiting us despite the significant temperature fluctuations! We look forward to seeing you again!

Free membership registrationIn construction work, the installation of scaffolding that is safe, secure, and easy to work with is essential. When setting up scaffolding at a construction site, it is necessary to be well-versed in the structure and assembly methods of the scaffolding. This importance increases particularly when assembling scaffolding for high-rise buildings such as apartments and office towers. Workers who assemble scaffolding are required by law to undergo training and acquire the correct knowledge. Additionally, those who supervise scaffolding assembly work must also have qualifications mandated by law. This time, we will explain the qualification of "Scaffolding Assembly Supervisor," which is required for those who direct scaffolding work. *For more details, please download the PDF document.*

Free membership registrationTo safely perform work at heights, fall prevention measures for workers are crucial. But what about safety measures for those not involved in the work? If tools or materials used in high-altitude work fall, the energy upon hitting the ground can be very significant. If a falling object strikes a person, it can lead to a serious accident, which is why the installation of a board called a toe board at the edge of the working platform on scaffolding is mandatory. However, relying solely on toe boards to prevent falling object accidents is likely insufficient. Measures against potential falling objects are necessary. This time, we will explain the responses to prevent accidents caused by falling objects from temporary scaffolding. *For more details, please download the PDF document.*

Free membership registrationOne of the challenges in introducing wind power plants has been construction costs. On February 22, 2023, JGC Holdings Corporation announced that its group company, JGC Corporation, has established optimal design technology for power cables for wind power plants. In the 6th Strategic Energy Plan announced in October 2021, it was stated that efforts would be made to expand the introduction of onshore wind power and accelerate the formation of offshore wind power projects in order to make renewable energy a primary power source; however, high construction costs have been one of the challenges. In particular, the power cables (submarine) used for the construction of large-scale offshore wind power plants with a generation capacity of 0.5 to 1 GW are costly, sometimes amounting to several tens of billions of yen. The company aims to reduce the cost of power cables in wind power plant construction by about 10%. The company has focused on the limited time when the output in wind power reaches 100% and has been working with DNV in the Netherlands since April 2021 to examine the optimization of power cables. Through "dynamic rating," which simulates wind conditions and generator output in detail, they have established optimal design technology that minimizes the excess cable size to the necessary minimum.
