◆Achieving High-Precision and Reliable Inspections with AI Technology On February 14, 2023, Nishio Rent All Co., Ltd. began renting the AI rebar inspection terminal "Field Bar(R) FB-100," manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Engineering Co., Ltd., which was launched on January 26, 2023. The introduction of this terminal, which enables high-precision and reliable rebar inspections using AI technology in a short time and with a small number of personnel, is said to contribute to the promotion of digital transformation (DX) at construction sites. ◆Approximately 60% Reduction in Inspection Time The "Field Bar(R) FB-100" can instantly perform automatic measurement of the number, diameter (thickness), and spacing of rebar using its built-in stereo camera, boasting a measurement accuracy of ±5mm for rebar spacing. It eliminates the need for traditional dedicated markers or scale setups, allowing inspections to be conducted by a single person, thereby achieving labor savings while maintaining inspection quality. Additionally, by integrating with rebar inspection report generation tools, it enables automatic creation of inspection reports and documentation, resulting in a system that can reduce inspection time by approximately 60%, including preparation and administrative tasks. With a waterproof design (IP65) and a display that is easy to see outdoors, digital rebar inspections can be conducted even in harsh outdoor environments.
