Microball rebound hardness tester eNM3A10
Compared to conventional rebound hardness testers, it is possible to measure lighter samples, smaller samples, and thinner samples!
By adopting a special alumina ball indenter with a diameter of 3 mm, it has become possible to measure lighter, smaller, and thinner samples compared to conventional rebound hardness testing machines. 【Features】 - The world's only product that measures the hardness (rebound coefficient) of samples using micro balls. - No complicated adjustments are needed; testing can be started immediately after turning on the power. - No need to prepare test pieces; both large and small parts can be tested as they are. - Minimal impact on the sample, leaving only a small indentation. - Portable and easy to carry (testing machine: approximately 0.6 kg). - Can be tested in any orientation, 360° (vertical, inverted, horizontal, etc.). 【Measurement Principle】 1. A micro ball (φ3 mm / weight 0.06 g) is collided with the sample, and the speeds on the way in and out are measured to calculate the rebound coefficient e (= speed ratio). 2. If the sample undergoes only elastic deformation, ideally, the speeds on the way in and out will be the same (e=1). 3. If the sample undergoes plastic deformation, the kinetic energy of the micro ball is lost to the extent that it is used to form an indentation, resulting in e<1. 4. The harder the sample and the less it undergoes plastic deformation, the larger e will be; conversely, the softer the sample, the smaller e will be.
