Regarding a component of our main product, the automotive engine, we attempted to invent a new structure to improve its performance and file a patent. However, it was discovered that the same invention had already been patented in Japan by a German manufacturer. We considered giving up on the patent application, but at the suggestion of our consultant, we held a workshop to generate new inventions addressing the problem that the original invention aimed to solve. As a result, six new inventions were created, and we filed patents for them, five of which were granted.
