Heatstroke prevention with heat insulation sheets: A construction case study in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Heat insulation sheets are easy to install, and simply applying the sheet allows for insulation! Using heat insulation paint can reduce the construction period to about one-third, leading to a shorter construction time.
The high-performance "heat-shielding sheet" is a heat insulation material that cuts 99% of radiant heat, which cannot be prevented by insulation alone. By using it on the roofs and walls of large spaces such as factories, it is possible to suppress the temperature rise of buildings caused by the radiant heat of the summer sun and lower the perceived temperature. We will select sheets according to the application, such as under roofs, in ceilings, on interior and exterior walls, for mechanical equipment, ducts, and condensation prevention. [Case Study: Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture] ■ Consultation Details Air conditioning equipment is installed inside the building, but it is not very effective. We received an inquiry asking if there is anything we can do for the employees' heatstroke prevention. ■ Challenges The interior of the building is spacious, and it was possible for high-altitude work vehicles to enter for the installation. For areas where work with high-altitude vehicles was difficult, we set up scaffolding to ensure safe and careful installation. ■ About the Effect To confirm the effectiveness after installation, measurements were taken using a thermal imaging camera. The uninstalled area measured 39.1°C, while the installed area measured 22.9°C, showing a maximum temperature difference of 16.2°C. * The airflow and other numerical values or comparison values are based on our measurement standards and may vary due to voltage and other conditions. * For more details, please contact us.
