The 【Veneer Revolution】 Fire-Resistant Regional Wood Veneer Sheet Emma This is an introduction to the American cherry quarter-sawn veneer that was adopted by Nomura Real Estate Co., Ltd. at H1O Aoyama. Cherry wood has a distinct color difference between the heartwood and sapwood. The former is reddish-brown or red, while the latter is light pink. If you look closely, you can see irregular areas that are slightly greenish, similar to Japanese cherry species. Additionally, like Japanese cherry species, you may find scattered blemish patterns known as "pisiflex" within the wood, and sometimes small pockets containing a viscous substance. The growth rings are somewhat visible. The wood is moderately heavy and hard, with an air-dried specific gravity of 0.56. The grain is straight, and the texture is fine. It is easy to process, including cutting, and the finished surface is excellent. The Okinawa accommodation facility emmagreen has adopted our materials for the renovation of its main building. The architectural firm Archilab Fit Co., Ltd. has chosen our Yamato cedar with straight grain in a random pattern. A space with real wood on the ceiling contributes to relaxation and stress reduction, creating a healing environment. Wood-like wallpaper cannot provide this level of healing. I believe this is a benefit that only real wood can offer. You are overwhelmed by the presence of wood when you enter the room. I think this is a response to the current social issue of white mold on non-combustible wood materials. Walnut heartwood ranges from chocolate brown to purplish-red and purplish-black, and generally, the color is not uniform, often displaying striped patterns that create beautiful surface designs. The sapwood is light-colored, and it may be dyed for effective use. It is heavy and hard, with an air-dried specific gravity of 0.62. The texture is coarse, and the grain is often irregular, which enhances the decorative value of the surface. It is resilient and easy to work with. 【Veneer Revolution】 Non-combustible regional material veneer sheet Emma This is an introduction to the oak quarter-sawn random veneer adopted by Nomura Real Estate Co., Ltd. and Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd. at H1O Chayamachi. Oak belongs to the beech family, Quercus alba. Interestingly, wood has a connection to alcohol. In ancient times, there were of course no plastics, metals, or glass, so containers for liquids like alcohol had to rely solely on wood. In Japan, cedar is used for sake barrels, while in Europe and America, varieties of white oak are used for whiskey barrels. Therefore, the aroma of cedar wood becomes the scent of sake, and the aroma of whiskey is derived from the scent of this white oak wood. The heartwood is gray-brown to brown. Due to the presence of large radial structures, beautiful silver grain can be seen on the quarter-sawn surface. It is heavy and hard, with an air-dry specific gravity of about 0.75.
