Even if the grass is damaged, it can recover! A case study of integrated pavement layer greening method for parking lots.

In the 2020 fiscal year, we would like to introduce a case where "Tafutafu Park" was constructed at the parking lot of the Kusatsu City No. 2 School Lunch Center. This project was commissioned by the Kusatsu City Hall and carried out in Shiga Prefecture. The area covered was 415 m². We would like to introduce a case study of "Grasstrong," which we handle, installed at Tonboike Park in Osaka Prefecture. "Super Sol" is a lightweight material recycled from glass bottles and other sources. It is an artificial pumice made by crushing and sintering waste glass into irregular granules with a particle size of 2 to 75 mm. Utilizing its characteristics such as lightweight, permeability, water retention, non-combustibility, and thermal insulation, it is used in a wide range of applications including civil engineering, greening, agriculture, water purification, and insulation. In particular, the "Glass Foam Recycled Material - Super Sol" as a civil engineering material has a unit weight of about 4 kN/m3, which is approximately one-fifth that of conventional fill materials, making it very lightweight. When this lightweight fill material is used on soft ground, it allows for the construction of embankments without the need for foundation improvement, which can be economically advantageous. ◆ Matching "Leftover" and "Wanted" On May 8, 2024, Tom Housing Co., Ltd. announced the launch of a service called "Amatta," which matches "leftover" and "wanted" construction materials among construction businesses. The company aims to solve the waste and scrap issues in the construction industry with the mission of "using all construction materials without discarding them," contributing to the achievement of the SDGs. ◆ No listing fees and unlimited listings In construction sites, various construction materials often remain as excess inventory, incurring costs for storage and disposal. At the same time, there are sites that lack materials and need to purchase new ones. According to a survey by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the recycling rate of construction mixed waste is only 50.4%, which is significantly low compared to wood and concrete debris. Users who list leftover construction materials do not need to pay listing fees and can list as many times as they want. Users who want construction materials can receive them for free up to a certain number of transactions.
