Automating the in-hospital transport of linen, supplies, and documents without renovation work in the existing wards.
This is a solution that automates the transportation of linens, supplies, documents, and other items within hospitals and care facilities. The delivery robot "James mW II" transports linens, hygiene materials, office supplies, and documents between the wards and the back office. Staff simply call the robot, place the items inside, and specify the ward or department. James physically presses the elevator button with its robotic arm and autonomously navigates to the designated floor. Since no renovations or wiring work for the elevators are required, it can be implemented in operational hospitals without interrupting ongoing work. Equipped with autonomous navigation using LiDAR, safety bumpers, and warning sounds, it can operate in corridors where people are present. The items to be transported are set according to the facility's operational regulations.
