The aldol reaction progresses under the influence of temperature, humidity, and light! Example of impurity analysis in ethanol and acetone.
This is an example of analyzing impurities detected in a solvent when stored in inappropriate conditions. Ethanol, which was stored in a light-protective reagent bottle in a cool, dark place, was transferred to a used plastic wash bottle and left at room temperature for about a month. As a result, impurities such as triethyl borate and alkylbenzenes were detected. Additionally, acetone stored in a light-protective reagent bottle in a cool, dark place was transferred to a transparent glass bottle without light protection and left at room temperature for about a month, resulting in the detection of diacetone alcohol as an impurity. [Impurity Analysis in Ethanol] - Ethanol stored in a light-protective reagent bottle in a cool, dark place was transferred to a used plastic wash bottle and left at room temperature for about a month (the wash bottle was not sealed as the opening was exposed). - Result: Impurities such as triethyl borate and alkylbenzenes were detected. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

basic information
**Analysis of Impurities in Acetone** ■ Acetone stored in a light-proof reagent bottle in a cool, dark place was transferred to a transparent glass bottle without light-proofing and left at room temperature for about one month (the bottle was sealed). ■ Results - Diacetone alcohol was detected as an impurity. - It is possible that impurities were generated due to the influence of temperature, humidity, and light. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
