basic information
The SI-65i is an interface converter (serial-to-LAN conversion adapter) that connects control devices and measuring instruments with only RS-422/RS-485 serial communication ports to an Ethernet LAN. It incorporates a Lantronix XPort in the LAN interface section, converting RS-422/RS-485 communication data into LAN protocols such as TCP/IP for transmission to the LAN side, while data from the LAN is sent by automatically controlling the RS-485 driver. Maintaining the functionality of the conventional model SI-65, it features a dual insulation specification (3000Vdc) with 1500Vdc withstand voltage transformer isolation, in addition to high-voltage signal isolation between LAN and RS-422/485 using optocouplers. With a robust metal housing and options for 35mm DIN rail mounting or wall mounting, it can be used with greater peace of mind.
