The SI-35i-RJ is an RS-232C to RS-422/485 converter that bi-directionally converts the RS-232C interface to half-duplex/full-duplex RS-422/485. It is equipped with two RJ45 connectors that allow RS-422/485 connections using standard LAN cables with either straight or crossover wiring, making it easy to wire RS-422/485 with LAN cables. Additionally, it features a high voltage resistance specification of 1500Vdc between signals, protecting connected devices from high voltages such as insulation surges. It supports communication speeds of up to 1Mbps and, with RS-485 line monitoring and automatic control of the RS-485 driver, enables communication with a reduced processing burden on the RS232 host device.
