Solar cells absorb light to generate electricity, but some of it is released through a phenomenon called luminescence. The method of imaging this light is called PL observation. POPLI observes the emission wavelength range based on the bandgap. If there are defects, the generated carriers get trapped, resulting in a decrease in luminescence intensity compared to the normal region, allowing us to determine abnormal areas from the intensity difference.
