High-resolution chemiluminescence imaging system Gene Gnome
Gene Gnome Syngene Corporation
Gene Gnome is a dedicated chemiluminescence automatic imaging system that combines high sensitivity and simplicity.
Using high-speed image capture software, automatic capture of single images, continuous capture, or manual capture can be performed to generate one or a series of images. The process from shooting to data acquisition is automated, eliminating the need for tedious focus adjustments. Image acquisition software and one-click analysis software are included. It features a built-in white light source, allowing for the creation of a single image that combines visible light images such as molecular weight markers and chemiluminescent images (chemiluminescence imaging). High sensitivity: A cooled CCD camera with a quantum efficiency of 73% reduces background noise. The dynamic range is more than twice that of film, making it easy to detect proteins at the femtogram level. Simple: Just input the blot type, and the capture of chemiluminescent images and data acquisition are automated. An automatic slide-out drawer makes handling samples easy. The lens has a fixed aperture and fixed focus, allowing images to be captured with just a click of the mouse button. Compact: It has a very small footprint, saving valuable space. With a built-in white LED, it is easy to create images that overlay chemiluminescent images and visible light images such as molecular weight markers with just one device.

basic information
■ High-quality lens: Excellent images come from excellent lenses. The fixed focal length lens with an F-value of 0.95 provides optimal image quality. ■ High-sensitivity camera: The 4-megapixel CCD camera is highly sensitive to low levels of luminescence. It resolves faint proximity bands of blots within the maximum visible range (11cm x 8cm) with an effective pixel count of 16 megapixels. Additionally, with a quantum efficiency exceeding 73% at 425nm, the dynamic range is more than twice that of film, making it outstandingly high-sensitivity for chemiluminescent imaging. ■ Ultra-low temperature cooling: Noise reduction through ultra-low temperature Peltier cooling allows for long exposure times. It can clearly detect weak chemiluminescent bands and strong chemiluminescent bands simultaneously without interference from background noise. ■ Backlit white LED light source: Built-in LED white light is convenient for detecting colored markers and positioning blots. It is also possible to capture images of markers in visible light and overlay them with chemiluminescence. ■ Automatic slide-out drawer: The automatic slide-out drawer expands bench space and makes it easy to set up blots. When closed, it becomes a completely light-blocking darkroom due to a magnetic lock, ensuring perfect images every time. ■ PC control: Easily integrates with external PCs and printers.

Applications/Examples of results
Bright Western When imaging chemiluminescent Western blots, you can reduce exposure time by using the binning feature of GeneSys. Binning combines pixels to create larger formats, generating superpixels that gather more light. This improves sensitivity and shortens image capture time. Perfect Images To create Western images for presentation, simply select high-resolution images in the resolution settings of GeneSys software. GeneSys can automatically overlay other images onto Western images, allowing you to generate images that superimpose colorimetric molecular weight markers onto chemiluminescent bands. Fast Image Analysis The GeneTools image analysis software included can be used for applications such as automatic molecular weight calculations and relative quantification of protein bands. You can also perform your own image editing, and data can be easily saved as image files or exported to Microsoft Excel or Word.
