As one example of the installation of the "FRP Boardwalk," we introduce the "Wansaka Oura Park Mangrove Road" in Okinawa Prefecture. This observation path is located within Oura Bay, which has been designated as one of Japan's Important Wetlands 500 by the Ministry of the Environment. Here, you can see various species of wildlife in the rich mangrove forest and in accordance with the tidal changes of the lake. Due to its brackish water environment, FRP materials that are resistant to salt damage were used. They are also resistant to corrosion and easy to clean and maintain.
