Ground reinforcement work | Significantly reduce construction costs and duration with cost-saving DM method.
Ground reinforcement work
Reduce soil disposal costs and construction costs with bolt connections that do not require welding and non-dredging rotary penetration. Achieve economical and reliable ground reinforcement with the DM method, which has obtained performance certification.
The "DM Method (Double Metal Method)" developed by Geotech Co., Ltd. is a ground reinforcement method using small-diameter steel pipe piles that significantly reduces on-site construction costs and time. In ground reinforcement work to ensure the safety of buildings, this method adopts a structure where cast iron tip wings are bolted together on-site, reducing the labor and costs associated with traditional welding work. Furthermore, the use of non-disposal rotary penetration construction without cement milk completely eliminates the disposal costs of generated residual soil and the hassle of transporting it off-site. It accommodates pouring with compact small construction machinery, allowing for smooth construction even in narrow sites or areas with limited road widths. The applicable range includes small-scale buildings with three stories or fewer and a total floor area of 500 square meters or less, as well as various retaining walls, based on reliable technical capabilities certified by GBRC performance certification (No. 10-01). Through strict component management at its own factory, a rapid construction system by certified construction companies nationwide, and high traceability via construction data management devices, it provides the highest level of quality and reliable ground guarantees at low costs.

basic information
This is a reliable small-diameter steel pipe reinforcement method that has obtained the GBRC performance certification (No. 10-01) from the Japan Architectural Comprehensive Testing Institute. It employs a weldless structure that joins STK400 (outer diameter 101.6mm) steel pipes with ductile cast iron (FOD450A) end wings using fixed bolts. There are two types of enlarged diameters for the end wings: 290mm (3.0 times) and 350mm (3.5 times). The applicable ground conditions are sandy and clayey soils with equivalent N values of 5 to 15, and it can accommodate a maximum construction depth of 130 times the axis diameter (up to 13.2m). Since it does not use cement, it achieves a no-dig, low-noise, and low-vibration construction method.

Applications/Examples of results
It is widely used for foundation reinforcement of single-family homes, multi-family residences, and small shops with three stories or fewer, a height of 13 meters or less, and a total floor area of 500 square meters or less. It is also very effective for ground reinforcement of retaining walls and structures with a height of 3.5 meters or less. Since cement injection is not required and no construction waste is generated, it is ideal for construction in densely populated residential areas, narrow sites, and alley-like properties where soil removal is difficult. This method is adopted to meet the practical needs of construction companies and design offices that want to simultaneously control construction costs and prevent complaints from neighbors.
