The Mecklock system was born in Italy in 1989 in response to the strong demand from drivers and insurance companies frustrated by the frequent car thefts occurring in the country for the installation of a highly reliable anti-theft device. This device is installed on hydraulic brakes and will not operate unless this key is set. While it does indeed control the brake circuit, it does not modify the system itself, so it does not fall under the category of modifications that require notification to the Department of Motor Vehicles. Installation is carried out only at certified factories that have received technical guidance from our company, and if done according to the manual, there will be no issues. This device is neither an alarm nor a GPS; it simply prevents the car from moving.
