The analysis results for a condominium building located in an urban area were conducted for summer and winter.
The analysis of the wind environment around the condominium was conducted for condominium buildings located in urban areas, focusing on the results for summer (southwest wind) and winter (north wind). When constructing or expanding buildings in urban areas, the wind conditions within the site or surrounding area can change significantly. This is known as the wind environment (building wind) issue. Generally, an investigation is conducted on the changes in wind speed distribution caused by the presence of the planned building for all wind directions (8 or 16 directions), comparing it to the conditions before construction. For a simplified evaluation, analysis is performed only for the prevailing winds of each season. For more details, please download the catalog.

basic information
【Analysis Model】 - Sufficient distances from the surrounding area of the planned building and the sky surface are established to recreate conditions similar to those in model experiments using boundary layer wind tunnels. - The grid size is 110×98×41 = 441,900. - To accurately reproduce the wind environment, the grid is finer around the planned building and coarser as it moves away. - Wind speed conditions apply a power law. 【Analysis Results】 - Results for winter (north wind). - The planned building (marked with an ellipse) is positioned on the downstream side of the upwind building, receiving extremely complex and three-dimensionally disturbed wind. - There are significant differences in the size of the recirculation area on the upwind side of the planned building and the size of the vortices on the downstream side, depending on whether there is an upwind building or not. - This can be understood from the velocity distribution and velocity vector diagrams of the ground surface and the building surface. - In wind environment analysis, it is also possible to determine the intensity of wind speed in residential areas categorized by considering the Weibull coefficient. ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
