Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of a "simple vacuum cooling and vacuum drying device." After harvesting vegetables (especially leafy greens like Chinese cabbage and cabbage), there is a lot of residual moisture, so it takes time to cool them to a certain temperature even if they are placed directly in the refrigerator, which affects their freshness. Therefore, we modified a marine container tank (made of SUS). After loading the vegetables on pallets onto the internal roll conveyor, we made it possible to perform vacuuming and cooling simultaneously. [Background leading to the implementation] - After harvesting vegetables, the high residual moisture causes a delay in reaching a certain cooling temperature. - This affects the freshness deterioration. - Although large vacuum cooling devices are available at agricultural cooperatives, the usage fees are high, making small-scale vacuum cooling difficult. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationTo store freshly harvested items for a long time in a refrigerator or similar environment, it is necessary to create the same conditions as when they were cultivated. Using the traditional cooling method of blowing cold air causes the items being cooled to cool down while simultaneously drying out, which accelerates deterioration and leads to waste. Therefore, the "constant temperature and humidity container" has corner pipes that are in contact with the walls inside the container, through which a coolant (brine) cooled by a chiller unit circulates, cooling the entire wall surface. This allows for cooling the stored items inside the container in a no-wind environment, preventing drying by cooling without breaking the moisture barrier surrounding vegetables, fruits, and flowers. Additionally, since the entire wall surface acts as a cooling body, it minimizes temperature fluctuations inside the container. Moreover, a special micro-mist humidification device maintains humidity levels above 98%. However, there is no occurrence of water droplets adhering to the surfaces of vegetables and fruits, nor is there any moisture in the cardboard, which is common in high-humidity environments. In this way, by maintaining the freshness and quality of freshly harvested items for an extended period and reducing waste due to deterioration, we significantly contribute to the SDGs. Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the "oil-water separation device" developed by Foods Tech Co., Ltd. In meat processing plants, fat from the meat accumulates in the pipes leading to the wastewater treatment facility, causing blockages, which required cleaning by external contractors at a high cost. We were looking for a solution to this issue. Therefore, we introduced this device. Since the fat no longer accumulates in the pipes, the cleaning costs have become zero. Additionally, since very little fat is now mixed in, the load on the wastewater treatment equipment has decreased, resulting in cleaner effluent and a significant reduction in BOD levels. [Overview] ■ Background leading to the introduction - Cleaning of the pipes was outsourced to external contractors, which was costly. - Fat that was not completely removed was contaminating the effluent, causing turbidity. ■ Solutions/Effects - By wrapping coils around the drainage pipes from the factory and applying a weak magnetic force, we made it easier to separate fat from water and softened the solidified fat. - We only extracted the softened fat floating on the surface of the raw water tank. - The fat was placed in the oil-water separator for further separation of the fat alone. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the modification of "refrigerated and frozen containers for marine use" undertaken by Foods Tech Co., Ltd. The raw materials delivered were temporarily stored in a frozen state until use, but since the container had doors on only one side, it was necessary to repeatedly load and unload the pallets inside. As a solution, the freezer unit was relocated to the ceiling, and a door was added to the side with the freezer unit, enabling a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system with both doors. This ensures that materials are used in the order they were received, allowing for the use of older raw materials and significantly reducing labor. [Overview] ■ Background leading to the introduction - Since there was a door on only one side, it was necessary to repeatedly load and unload the pallets inside to implement FIFO. ■ Solution - The freezer unit was relocated to the ceiling, and a door was added to the side with the freezer unit, enabling FIFO with both doors. - A roller conveyor was installed on the floor to allow two pallets loaded with goods to move in parallel inside. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the "SUS external tank" developed by Foods Tech Co., Ltd. The three small iron tanks installed in each area have deteriorated over time, necessitating their replacement. As a solution, for rooftop installation, we opted for stainless steel containers instead of concrete to reduce weight and prevent leaks due to concrete cracking, and the oil containment area was also made of stainless steel. This approach was more cost-effective than building three separate tanks and made management easier. [Overview] ■ Background leading to the introduction - The small iron tanks had deteriorated over time, necessitating their replacement. ■ Solution - Since the contents of the three tanks are oil, they were consolidated into one location and made of stainless steel. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the "chicken processing line" developed by Foods Tech Co., Ltd. Previously, gas (direct flame) was used as fuel for the kettle that heats the chicken, but it was difficult to make precise temperature adjustments, requiring frequent checks on the internal condition. As a solution, we switched from direct flame to a steam-heated kettle. Now, the amount of steam inflow can be automatically controlled, eliminating concerns about fire hazards since no flames are used. [Overview] ■ Background leading to the introduction - It was difficult to make precise temperature adjustments, requiring frequent checks on the internal condition. ■ Solution - Changed to a steam-heated kettle from direct flame. - Implemented automatic control of steam inflow. (The interior of the kettle is designed like a thermos, with high-temperature steam flowing in between the double walls.) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
