The "KMV type" is the most common weep hole (backflow prevention valve) used to prevent cracks, uneven settlement, and uplift in structures due to uplift pressure and scouring effects from infiltrating water or seepage flow. Excessive groundwater pressure pushes the rubber valve up, releasing water into the drainage channel and preventing cracks and uplift in the structure. Additionally, when the water level in the drainage channel is high, the rubber valve closes due to the water pressure in the channel, preventing water leakage and scouring effects. We would like to introduce the KM-type Weep Hole Mounting Jig (for 50V and 75V) that we handle. The Weep Hole Mounting Jig is a component used to attach the weep hole to the formwork. Depending on the type of filter used on the ground side, it is differentiated into "Type 1 Mounting Jig" and "Type 2 Mounting Jig." The "KMVS type" is a backflow prevention valve that has a plate (flange) attached to the center of the KM type weep hole. A sheet is placed on the lower plate and secured with the upper plate, allowing it to be attached to a waterproof sheet (vinyl-based or rubber-based) for use. It can be used with a sheet thickness of up to approximately 10mm, and a coconut fiber filter is built into the inside of the eye plate on the water inflow side. If protective soil or protective concrete is to be applied over the sheet, it can be manufactured to the specified length. It can be installed on sheet piles up to 28mm thick, and if particularly long installation bolts are used, it can also be installed on thicker piles. The 50mm diameter version has a coconut fiber filter built into the main body, while the 75mm and 100mm versions have a non-woven fabric filter attached to the surface of the strainer. The 'KMVM type' has reversed the installation direction of the valve compared to conventional designs, allowing water within the structure to drain outside while preventing external groundwater from entering the structure. The "KMVT type" is a weep hole (backflow prevention valve) used in tunnels. On-site, the guide pipe section and filter section are connected by inserting them together. Basically, there is no backflow prevention valve included, but a type with a backflow prevention valve is also available. (Please use the type with a backflow prevention valve when installing below the water surface.) The length of the guide pipe section is manufactured according to the specified length based on the thickness of the lining concrete. The length of the filter section is 478 mm, but custom lengths can also be produced.
