The wastewater treatment water is 7500L/min, the heat pump heating capacity is 1118kW! The snow melting area is 29000m2.

We would like to introduce a case of the "sewage heat utilization snow melting system" constructed at the Shinminato Ohashi Bridge in Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture. On the East-West Line of the Fukuki Toyama Port (Shinminato area) coastal road, we installed a non-water-spraying snow melting facility using a water-source heat pump, utilizing the sewage treated water (winter water temperature 16°C) from the nearby Jinzukawa Left Bank Purification Center as the heat source for the steel girder section (Shinminato Ohashi, length 370m). We would like to introduce a case study of the installation of a "pipe-bottom type heat pump snow melting facility" at the Niigata Elementary School intersection. This is a simple snow melting system that circulates antifreeze between the sewer pipe and the roadway snow melting section. However, by using materials with high thermal conductivity for the sewer heat extraction pipes and high thermal conductivity concrete for the snow melting pavement, it is designed to efficiently melt snow using only the thermal energy from the sewer.
