The lanyard operates on a mechanism where "it is free when gripped" and "it stops when released," which can lead to falls if a worker loses balance and becomes unstable, causing them to reflexively grip the lanyard. To prevent falls due to improper operation of the lanyard, we developed a supplementary safety device called the "Assist Lanyard," which is installed below the main rope.
