What is the thrust construction method?

Connecting urban comfort with people! Demonstrating features in construction at difficult locations where excavation across tracks and other obstacles is challenging.

We would like to introduce the "Advancement Method" that we implement. There are two main types of underground pipe installation work: the open-cut method, which involves excavating the ground, laying prefabricated pipes at the bottom, and then backfilling, and the non-open-cut method, which allows for underground penetration without surface excavation. The advancement method we employ belongs to the non-open-cut category, which results in less surface excavation compared to the open-cut method. This leads to a reduction in the area occupied by construction, a decrease in construction-related nuisances such as noise, vibration, and dust, and minimizes the impact on traffic and community life. [Features] ■ Underground pipe installation work is divided into open-cut and non-open-cut methods. ■ The non-open-cut method involves less surface excavation compared to the open-cut method. ■ There is a reduction in the area occupied by construction, as well as in construction-related nuisances such as noise, vibration, and dust. ■ It excels in construction at locations where open-cutting is difficult, such as crossing tracks. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Introduction to Water Pipe Pushing Construction Examples and Special Installation Pipe Pushing Methods

Let's complete the plumbing work cheaply and quickly! However, when excavation is not possible, we will use the special installation pipe pushing method.

Hasegawa Construction Industry Co., Ltd. has been engaged in both large and small thrust construction projects for over 20 years. Here are some examples of the projects carried out by Hasegawa Construction Industry. One example is a project in Oohara, Isumi City, where we crossed a national highway. We created a launch shaft with a diameter of φ2.0m within the application site and thrust to the main pipe on the opposite side of the road. The thrust construction involved pushing a lead pipe (temporary pipe) from the launch shaft towards the main pipe, and then pulling in a φ50A steel pipe from the main pipe side. The construction from the creation of the launch shaft to the thrust work was completed in one day. Additionally, in Karabe, Narita City, we thrust a lead pipe to the main pipe located on the opposite side of the application site, which has four lanes (five lanes including the right turn lane), and we pushed a φ100mm steel casing pipe from the launch shaft. The thrust length was 22.3m. As such, we can construct by building the launch shaft within the application site without excavating on public roads. 【Proposal from Hasegawa Construction Industry】 - After thrusting a φ65A steel pipe, we completed the installation of a φ50A steel casing pipe. - Connection with continuous water drilling by waterworks contractors. - Installation of the main pipe inside the casing pipe. → It is also possible to directly pull in poly pipes or stainless steel pipes without using a casing pipe. For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Environmentally-friendly mud-based propulsion method "Success Mall Method"

Improving environmental issues while leveraging the advantages of conventional construction methods! Capable of handling large boulders, rolling stones, and bedrock!

The "Success Small Method" is a construction technique that leverages the advantages of traditional mud slurry and earth pressure pushing methods (long distance, gravel compatibility, sharp curves, space-saving yards, etc.) while improving issues related to resource and work environments, and simultaneously pursuing a reduction in total costs. Traditionally, all the mud generated from excavation was disposed of off-site, but from an environmental perspective, we have developed a continuous soil classification device with a shower function (Master R) as a method to minimize the absolute amount discharged off-site. With various face plate adaptations, it can also handle large gravel, boulders, and bedrock. It has high torque, allowing for primary crushing with the face plate and secondary crushing with a cone crusher, enabling continuous soil discharge. 【Features】 ■ Long distance, gravel compatibility, sharp curves, space-saving yards ■ Improvement of resource and work environment issues ■ Continuous soil classification device with shower function to reduce off-site mud discharge ■ Total cost reduction *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Mud-rich propulsion method "Super Flow Balance Semi-Shield Method"

It excels in maintaining the stability of the face even in soil conditions where pressure retention at the face is difficult.

The "Super Flow Balance Semi-Shield Method" is a mud-based thrusting method that constructs a wall of high-density, high-viscosity fluid throughout the entire cutter chamber to facilitate excavation. In the tail void section, soil particles with good workability and high-concentration mud are directly pressurized from the outer circumference of the tunneling machine, reducing friction around the pipe. Furthermore, the two-component solidifying lubricant injected from the trailing pipe further stabilizes the void. 【Features】 ■ Excellent stability of the face ■ Can maintain a face management pressure of groundwater pressure + 20 kPa ■ Minimal range of ground loosening *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Non-excavation and no spoil construction method for the renovation of sewer pipes, "EXP Method."

A construction method that is friendly to cities and people, which involves crushing and expanding old pipes while pushing in new pipes of the same diameter or one size larger, all without excavation and without generating waste.

This is a reconstruction promotion method that crushes and expands old pipes while pushing in new pipes of the same diameter or one rank up. A hydraulic-operated expander (diameter-expanding crusher) is inserted into the existing pipe, and new pipes are pushed into the void created by the diameter expansion and crushing, allowing for a non-excavation and soil-free construction method that is friendly to both cities and people. **Features** - Replacement with new pipes of the same diameter or larger at the same position as the existing pipes, improving flow performance. - Since the method expands and crushes the existing pipes from the inside without excavation, there is no generation of excavated soil or industrial waste. - Analysis confirms that there is no significant ground deformation affecting the surrounding soil. - It can adapt to step differences and bends at the joint sections, allowing for the replacement of deformed PVC pipes and similar with new pipes. - The use of concrete pipes, PVC pipes, and resin concrete pipes for new installations ensures high quality and durability. **Applications** - Reconstruction and extension of aging or damaged sewer pipes (Ø150–Ø600). - Strength restoration. - Improvement of water-tightness against infiltration, flow performance, corrosion resistance, and prevention of tree root intrusion. - When there is a desire to secure a larger flow capacity than the existing pipes. - When considering the replacement of existing pipes but wanting to control disposal costs.

FCR Intermediate Advancement Method [FCR Method Association]

Cost reduction through promotion up to a certain point.

The FCR Construction Method Association has prepared the "FCR Intermediate Pushing Method," which allows for pushing to the area of deformation without using the full line pushing method in cases where the deformation of the buried pipe is due to localized blockage. This method involves aligning the pushing steel pipe with the existing buried pipe and connecting them for repairs. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*

If the construction work stops! 'Milling Mall Method'

[NETIS Registered] No worries even with obstacles! A mud-based thrusting method equipped with four special features!

The "Milling Mall Method" is a thrusting method composed of three devices: a "boring machine," a "special telescopic pipe," and a "special injection pipe." The boring machine is equipped with a specialized bit for cutting through obstacles and a transmitting/receiving coil for obstacle detection. If an obstacle is present during the excavation thrust, the boring machine cutter is pressed against the obstacle at ultra-low speed by the special telescopic pipe, and cutting is performed by the rotation of the cutter. Additionally, the special injection pipe is equipped with facilities for ground improvement before and after the obstacle, as well as an "electromagnetic wave guidance system" to accurately guide the boring machine to its destination. **[Four Special Functions]** - **Detection:** Detecting metal obstacles in front while thrusting and excavating. - **Improvement:** Ground improvement from within the boring machine before and after the obstacle. - **Cutting:** Crushing and discharging metal obstacles. - **Guidance:** Guiding the boring machine to the designated position. For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Small-diameter long-distance curved propulsion (slurry method project) "JAT method"

Leave the construction of long distances and sharp curves in small-diameter propulsion to the jet method!

The "JAT Method" is a thrusting method that enables long-distance and sharp curve construction in small-diameter thrusting. Instead of measurements from the ground, it uses a CCD camera sensor for underground surveying from the starting pile, which means it is not affected by buried objects, electric wires, or tracks. The method for curve measurement involves inserting multiple CCD camera sensors into the pipe and measuring targets located at the front and back of the machine with the CCD camera sensors. The image information sent from the sensors is processed by a PC on the ground to quickly calculate the discrepancies between the plan and the construction. [Features] ■ Compatible with deep thrusting ■ Simple structure and easy handling ■ Three-dimensional traverse surveying using high-resolution CCD camera sensors ■ Roll conveyor rail (patented) ■ Capable of handling a wide range of soil types *For more details, please refer to the PDF or feel free to contact us.
