[Solution] Shape Optimization for Abaqus

Achieve design efficiency in CAE through effective utilization of the Abaqus model!

By using the high-end mesh morphing program 'DEP Mesh Works/Morpher' to modify the shape based on the mesh of the Abaqus model, and by parameterizing it to build automation and optimization systems, we can effectively utilize existing models and significantly reduce the man-hours required for preparing parametric model creation. Furthermore, by integrating with the multi-purpose robust design optimization support tool 'modeFRONTIER', we provide designers with "hints" to understand the phenomenon of "what design is optimal and why" in response to multi-objective optimization problems encountered in design development, such as weight reduction, minimum stress, and minimum displacement. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Free Data Download & Acoustic Analysis] Calculation of the Impact of Sound Bridges

For efficient design with minimal rework.

When looking at textbooks on acoustical engineering and architectural acoustics, you will find descriptions stating that doubling the walls is effective for enhancing sound insulation. Of course, this method is very effective, but there is one often-overlooked point: it is very difficult to make the two walls independent, so in reality, the two walls are installed through a common pillar, causing vibrations from one wall to transmit to the other. This phenomenon is called a sound bridge and is one of the major factors that prevent sound insulation performance from improving as expected. Here, we will introduce the basic principles of sound insulation with double walls and the effectiveness of an acoustical CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) approach to examining sound bridges. - Theory of double walls - Sound bridge If you are interested in acoustic design, please take a look. Mazda Case Study on the Introduction of Vibration and Noise Analysis Software 'VA One'

Creating a Quiet Car! Introducing Examples of Utilizing Simulations for Noise Control Measures.

Mazda Corporation's NVH Performance Development Department is a division that analyzes sound and vibration, working on the realization and improvement of acoustics, vibration, and ride comfort. In our department, we use 'VA One' to evaluate the noise reduction effects of interior materials in their installed state. By changing parameters such as the arrangement, quantity, and material (sound absorption capacity) of sound-absorbing materials, we can evaluate the noise reduction effects of these materials based on the in-vehicle noise levels through simulation. This analysis employs a computational method called SEA, which not only offers fast computation speeds but also allows for the understanding of power transmission paths from external inputs, making it useful when considering the arrangement of sound-absorbing materials. 【Benefits of Implementation】 ■ Fast computation speed ■ Ability to understand power transmission paths from external inputs ■ Effective when considering the arrangement of sound-absorbing materials ■ Contributes to achieving maximum sound absorption effects *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Thermal fluid analysis software "e-flowDX"

Simulation program for moving boundary problems and free surface problems.

◆Moving Boundary Problem: It is possible to move multiple objects independently and arbitrarily. The analysis of moving boundary problems, such as the movement of complex objects, opening and closing doors, and rotating machinery, which was essentially impossible with non-structural grids, can now be easily performed. It is also possible to feedback the fluid forces acting on the objects into their motion. ● Changes in degrees of freedom such as axial movement and rotation around each coordinate axis can be achieved through simple motion definitions. ● Analysis is possible not only for solid structures with volume but also for thin-walled (shell) structures without thickness. ● Various conditions can be assigned to moving objects, such as heat transfer and mass transfer boundaries, as well as free surface flows. ● The situation of time-varying flow fields can be animated along with the movement of the moving objects for detailed examination. ◆ e-flowDX Tsunami Load Analysis Version In response to the unprecedented damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the resulting tsunami, the need for simulations that were not included in previous settings has arisen. Specifically, the evaluation of tsunami loads with wave heights of 10 to 20 meters and the assessment of tsunami loads on groups of buildings are now considered essential and urgent for the design of facilities built along the coast, not limited to evacuation buildings, as well as for urban planning.

Station Building Thermal Environment [Case Study]

Introduction of a case study aimed at understanding the thermal environment in the concourse and corridors of the station building!

[Purpose of Analysis] This is an analysis case aimed at understanding the thermal environment in areas where people move, such as concourses and corridors, during the construction of a train station building. Due to the influence of the arrangement of windows in the station building and the solar radiation transmitted through those windows, as well as the fluctuation in the number of people staying inside the station at different times, the thermal environment varies by time. Therefore, it is currently difficult to grasp the thermal environment during the basic design phase of the station building. In this analysis case, we modeled a hypothetical train station in a regional city during the summer at 4 PM using WindPerfectDX. We considered the solar radiation load transmitted and absorbed by the fixed windows on the west side of the concourse, the heat load from human bodies and lighting, and the infiltration load from the roof and walls, with the aim of understanding the thermal environment in the concourse and corridors of the station building.

Wholesale Market Ventilation Analysis

We conducted a natural ventilation analysis of building clusters in the presence of external wind.

The ventilation analysis of wholesale markets involved the natural ventilation analysis of building complexes in the presence of external winds. In recent years, advancements in numerical computation techniques for thermal environment analysis have made it possible to conduct analyses with over a million meshes even on personal computer bases, allowing for detailed construction of building structures. If the detailed structure of the building can be represented, it becomes possible to directly evaluate the state of wind circulation by simultaneously solving the thermal and flow fields of the internal and external spaces. Reliability Assurance in Structural Design: Design Value Calculation Service (Design Margin Verification)

We will solve your concern of 'It's unsettling to make judgments based only on experience... I want numerical evidence for the design rationale!' (Design margin confirmation)

We conduct "simulation for calculating design values" at our company. (Design margin confirmation) For example, if you want to create a waterproof design that can withstand water pressure, we analyze the relationship between the water pressure acting on the waterproof membrane and the load from the cushion using stress simulation to derive the appropriate cushion load. Additionally, if you are concerned about vibrations during the transportation and operation of the housing, we analyze the main causes of resonance in the frame at dangerous frequency ranges and propose structural changes to ensure that the maximum resonance point shifts to a safe frequency range. We have various case studies available. Please feel free to consult us. 【Simulation Use Cases】 ■ Waterproofing - We want to create a waterproof design that can withstand water pressure. ■ Vibration - We are concerned about vibrations during the transportation and operation of the housing. ■ Implementation Reliability - We want to demonstrate the improvement effects on the reliability of BGA package joints. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

**Features** - By adopting an unstructured mesh, it is possible to compute the exact shape of complex real devices. - High parallel efficiency allows for quick computation results even for large-scale shapes. - Since it employs a particle method, unlike fluid models, it can achieve a converged solution even with poor-quality computational grids. - With comprehensive technical support, even those new to simulation or busy with experiments can reliably obtain results. **Supports Various Cases** - Simulation of rarefied gas flow in a vacuum chamber. - Simulation of thin film generation in semiconductor manufacturing. - Chemical vapor deposition (CVD), organic light-emitting diode (OLED), molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). - Film deposition simulations that include chemical reactions like CVD. **Outputs Various Calculation Results** - Calculation of chemical reactions. - Calculation of chemical reactions from Arrhenius-type reaction data. - Calculations of dissociation, recombination, and molecular (atomic) exchange reactions. - Multiple reaction equations can be set up on the GUI. *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.*
