【Scaffolding Construction Achievements】 Hamana Bridge

Solving maintenance management issues! We utilized "rack scaffolding" for bridge inspections and repair work!

We would like to introduce our construction achievements for the repair work on the Hamana Ohashi Bridge (a 5-span continuous frame bridge <PC box girder>) on National Route 1, Hamana Bypass. As the bridge spans Lake Hamana and has a high superstructure girder height, the large-scale temporary scaffolding became a maintenance management issue. To address this, we utilized "rack scaffolding" for the bridge inspection and repair work. 【Overview】 ■ Location/Prefecture: Shizuoka Prefecture ■ Client: Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Chubu Regional Development Bureau, Hamamatsu River and National Route Office ■ Construction Company: Nakamura Corporation ■ Start Date of Use: May 2017 ■ Local workers' experience with rack scaffolding: First time ■ Presence of rack scaffolding handling instructor: Yes *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Scaffolding Construction Achievements] Kotohira Ohashi Bridge

We installed the "rack scaffolding" without using any post-installed anchors at all!

We would like to introduce our construction achievements for the repair work on the Konpira Ohashi Bridge (an 8-span post-tensioned PC simple T-beam bridge) spanning the Hita Bypass (National Route 210). By attaching the running rails with chains from the railing posts at the top of the wall railing, we were able to install the "rack scaffolding" without using any post-installed anchors. Additionally, since the only work on the municipal road, which is an intersecting property, was the installation of the running rails, we were able to shorten the duration of the scaffolding installation work on the municipal road. 【Overview】 ■ Location/Prefecture: Oita Prefecture ■ Client: Kyushu Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Oita River and National Road Office ■ Contractor: Kawakami Corporation ■ Start date of use: November 2014 ■ Experience of local workers in rack scaffolding installation: First time ■ Presence of rack scaffolding handling instructor: Yes *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Scaffolding Construction Achievements] Portopia Ohashi Bridge

We have proposed a method to use three units as one set for your painting and repainting work!

We would like to introduce our construction achievements for the repainting work of the Portopia Bridge (a lower chord truss bridge) on the Kobe New Transit Port Island Line. Due to the large installation pitch of the hanging pieces on the underside and sides of the girder, setting up the hanging scaffolding was more challenging than usual. For this reason, we adopted "rack scaffolding" for this repainting work as well, given our experience in similar projects. Since there is a height variation of 5.6 meters (from 2m to 7.6m), we proposed a method of using a total of three units—one for the underside of the girder and two for the sides—configured as one set. [Overview] ■ Location/Prefecture: Hyogo Prefecture ■ Client: Kobe City ■ Construction Company: Showbond Construction Co., Ltd. ■ Start Date of Use: July 2013 ■ Local Workers' Experience with Rack Scaffolding: First time ■ Dispatch of Rack Scaffolding Handling Instructor: Yes *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Scaffolding Construction Achievements] Singapore Changi International Airport

Using "rack scaffolding" for ceiling panel renovation! The scaffolding has also been moved due to the rearrangement.

We would like to introduce our construction achievements regarding the ceiling panel finishing during the renovation work of Terminal 1. Since the renovation work is being carried out while the airport is in operation, the construction area is within temporary enclosures. To efficiently conduct the renovation work in the limited space within the enclosures, a method was adopted to simultaneously carry out the ceiling panel renovation and floor renovation. During this ceiling panel renovation, "rack scaffolding" was utilized. The scaffolding was also moved in accordance with the changes to the temporary enclosures. [Overview] ■ Location/Prefecture: Singapore ■ Client: CAG (Changi Airport Group) ■ Construction Company: Takenaka Corporation ■ Start Date of Use: May 2009 ■ Local workers' experience with rack scaffolding: First time ■ Presence of rack scaffolding handling instructor: Yes *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Scaffolding Construction Achievements】 Dedicated Section of the Second Keihan National Route, Both Directions

To achieve both "ensuring safety for JR" and "shortening the scaffolding construction process," we have adopted a method that involves laying out across the entire length of the rails!

We would like to introduce our construction achievements in the installation of sound-absorbing panels on the underside (during bridge construction). To shorten the construction process of scaffolding on JR, we utilized "rack scaffolding." This site was constructed using a method that allows for the rapid installation of full suspended scaffolding by sending out the scaffolding using rails, rather than as a "mobile suspended scaffolding." 【Overview】 ■ Location/Prefecture: Osaka Prefecture ■ Client: West Japan Railway Company ■ Construction Company: Daitetsu Industry Co., Ltd. ■ Start Date of Use: May 2009 ■ Experience of Local Workers in Rack Scaffolding Installation: Extensive experience ■ Availability of Rack Scaffolding Handling Instructors: Yes *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Scaffolding Construction Achievements] Seto Ohashi Anchorage (4A)

Install concrete anchors on the underside of the overhang and set the rail horizontally as the suspension point!

We would like to introduce our construction achievements for the concrete painting work on the overhang section of the anchorage (4A) of the Nanbi-San Seto Ohashi Bridge. Since work on the underside of the overhang section cannot be performed using a gondola, we utilized a "rack scaffold." Concrete anchors were installed on the underside of the overhang section, and rails were set up horizontally from these anchors. Due to the steep angle of the overhang, which is 60 degrees, the scaffold is designed in a stair-like manner. 【Overview】 ■ Location/Prefecture: Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture - Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture ■ Client: Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway Company Limited ■ Construction Company: Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. ■ Start Date of Use: October 2008 (initial) ■ Local workers' experience with rack scaffold installation: First time ■ Presence of rack scaffold handling instructor: Yes *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Features of rack scaffolding: Quick installation is possible.

No additional scaffolding assembly is required! A movable suspended scaffold that significantly reduces construction time.

We would like to introduce the features of our "rack scaffolding." After installing the product at the starting position, the only work required is the extension of the two rack rails. Since no additional scaffolding assembly is needed, the longer the extension of the rack rails, the relatively quicker the construction can be completed. [Scaffolding Construction Example] Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway Route 11 Daiba Line

The painting renovation work was carried out at the elevated intersection with the new transportation system (Yurikamome) on the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway Route 11 Daiba Line.

We would like to introduce our construction achievements on the new transportation system (Yurikamome). Due to the architectural limitations of the new transportation system (Yurikamome), it was not possible to install standard construction scaffolding, so a method was adopted to move rack scaffolding onto the track during the power outage period to carry out the construction. Outside of construction working hours, the rack scaffolding was moved outside the influence area of the new transportation system and secured close to the bridge pier. 【Overview】 ■ Location/Prefecture: Tokyo ■ Client: Metropolitan Expressway Company Limited ■ Construction Company: JFE Civil Engineering and JFE Engineering (Repair) Upper Structure Reinforcement 2-206 Special Construction Joint Venture ■ Start of Use: July 2022 to November 2023 ■ Local workers' experience with rack scaffolding installation: First time ■ Dispatch of rack scaffolding handling instructors: Yes *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
