[Technical Data] High Torque Compatible Insert Nut "SSOI Nut"

We are offering free technical materials that demonstrate the strength of SSOI nuts! The materials include a wealth of test data such as tensile tests, torque strength tests, and tightening tests.

The SSOI nut improves torque resistance performance by being molded into a special octagonal shape. It is an insert nut that achieves "difficulty in rotation" and "difficulty in removal," molded simultaneously during resin molding. This technical report presents abundant test data, including tensile tests and torque strength tests, as well as adoption results, explaining the excellent performance of the SSOI nut. ● "Difficulty in rotation" By molding into a special octagonal shape, the torque resistance performance has been significantly improved compared to conventional insert nuts. It prevents the nut from spinning freely (back spinning) during high-torque tightening. 【Verification Test Results】 Torque strength test results (Material: MC Nylon): 25N·m or more ● "Difficulty in removal" Designed for simultaneous use with resin molding, it has excellent tensile (pull-out) strength. It features high vibration resistance and high rotational torque, making it difficult to loosen. 【Verification Test Results】 Pull-out load test results (Material: MC Nylon): 8250N ● Shape As a non-through type, there is no need to worry about resin flowing into the screw hole. 【Adoption Examples】 Resin parts such as air cleaners and intake manifolds. *For detailed technical information, please refer to the download.

Reheader (Die Forming) Processing [Cost Reduction through Process Conversion!]

We have achieved complex shape forging processing with a reheader machine!

Metal processing includes a method called cold heading, which uses molds to achieve plastic deformation. Cold heading has the advantage of significantly less material waste compared to cutting processes, as well as stable precision and production speed, making it suitable for mass production of items such as bolts and nuts. However, for complex shapes like concave forms, cutting processes were necessary. Our company has introduced a re-header machine (split mold forming machine) that allows us to perform cold heading on semi-finished products after the initial heading process, enabling the formation of complex shapes and eliminating the need for cutting processes through net shape processing. By combining header and re-header machines, we have improved processing efficiency for complex shapes, allowing us to propose solutions for mass production. Additionally, the reduction of waste material from cutting processes helps lower costs.

Strong against vibrations, reusable! Anti-loosening! 'E-LOCK Nut'

The three-blade design provides stable anti-loosening effects! Thanks to the high-strength friction ring, it can be reused multiple times! [Manufactured by Osaka Forming Co., Ltd.]

The "E-LOCK Nut" handled by Daiichi Industry features a three-blade design that enhances its anti-loosening function and possesses the strength to withstand repeated use. In the case of conventional two-blade products, one blade gets lodged in the thread valley, effectively resulting in a state of anti-loosening with only "one blade," leading to concerns about stability. However, this product's three-blade design effectively increases thread stability with "two blades." Additionally, durability tests under vibration showed no deformation in the three friction rings of this product, proving its ability to withstand repeated use due to the sustained effect of the springs. (Other manufacturers' nuts with high anti-loosening functions may experience deformation.) **Features** 1) The three-blade design provides a more stable anti-loosening effect compared to conventional products. 2) Prevents early detachment even if the tightening axial force decreases. 3) Strong and capable of withstanding repeated use. ★ This product is from Osaka Forming Co., Ltd. You can view the products handled by Osaka Forming through the link below.

Enabling the processing of complex shapes! About secondary processing in cutting.

Combination of "plastic processing" and "cutting processing"!

There are various processing methods in metalworking, including casting (foundry), plastic processing (forging, pressing, rolling), sheet metal processing (pressing, drawing), cutting processing (lathe, milling, drilling), grinding processing (polishing, grinding), and joining processing (welding, brazing). This time, we will introduce the combination of "plastic processing" and "cutting processing," which our company specializes in. In our fastener division, we combine "cold heading" from plastic processing with "dual-end machining" from cutting processing to produce vibration-damping components for four-wheel vehicles (automobiles), providing high-precision and complex products at low prices that are difficult to achieve with cold heading alone. Additionally, through combinations such as "cold heading" + "NC lathe," we also produce torque converter components for four-wheel vehicles (automobiles), which have received positive feedback from our customers.

You can compare different types: "Surface treatment of resin fastening screws."

You will understand the basics of "surface treatment" that improves the corrosion resistance and appearance of screws. This will explain the characteristics of representative surface treatments.

Metal screws, such as those made of iron, will corrode and rust due to electrochemical reactions after being molded for a while. Corrosion and rust can lead to poor appearance and reduced strength of the screws. To prevent such issues, surface treatment is applied to improve the rust and corrosion resistance of the screws. There are many types of surface treatment methods, each differing in functions such as corrosion resistance and appearance (color). It is necessary to choose the optimal surface treatment according to the purpose and usage environment. This document clearly explains the characteristics of commonly used surface treatments for screws: "Electrogalvanizing," "High Nickel Type - Zinc-Nickel Alloy Plating," and "GeometⓇ Treatment." It is a compact version that can be easily viewed. [Technical Information] Basics of Screw Manufacturing Technology [Cutting and Welding] Will Be Taught

[Attention Engineers] Screw manufacturing is not just about forging. There is also cutting and welding. We offer a free [technical document] that provides fundamental knowledge of each technique!

Daiichi Kogyo is a specialized group that develops and manufactures fastening components, including bolts and nuts. 【What a specialized group can do】 While "forging" is the common method for screw manufacturing, "cutting" is also an important processing technique for screw production when complex shapes or additional processes like drilling are required. Daiichi Kogyo possesses the manufacturing know-how necessary for "forging," "cutting," and "welding" in screw production. We can perform "composite processing" that combines these techniques. Forging + Cutting + Welding ⇒ Composite products With the accumulation of each processing technique, we can set up processes that leverage the characteristics of each method. 【Manufacturing Example】Production of parts with strict precision requirements. ● When manufactured using only "forging," the load on the mold increases, raising concerns about mold lifespan and quality deterioration. ↓ ● By switching from "forging" to "cutting" for manufacturing, we can reduce the load on the mold and lower forging costs, achieving quality improvement as well. For more details, please visit the following 【Daiichi Kogyo Co., Ltd. Fastener Division Fastening Components Site】. We are currently offering free technical materials that provide basic knowledge of screw manufacturing techniques, including "cutting and welding." Please download and take a look.
