Backscatter signal processing and sidelobe suppression

In the Internet of things (IoT) society, all kinds of objects will be connected to network such as internet. For an example of a factory, an access point equipped with multiple antenna elements installed at the base of a machine tool can track a sensor node on an object attached at the extremity of machine tool arm moving at relatively high speed. A known method of capturing the position of the sensor node is to use the backscatter wave of the signal transmitted by the access point. However, there is a problem that sidelobe is generated near the modulation frequency signal of backscatter.   This invention is able to suppress the sidelobe generated near the backscatter modulation frequency signal that appears in the demodulated signal spectrum. The access point is characterized by demodulating the modulation signal by multiplying the received modulation signal with the transmitted signal. This enables suppression of sidelobe generated near the modulation frequency of the backscatter in the demodulated signal spectrum.

A wastewater treatment device that recovers methane gas from wastewater (creating energy), requires little power (saving energy), and generates a small amount of sludge. It realizes decarbonization.

In conventional wastewater biological treatment (such as the activated sludge method), treatment is carried out by utilizing oxygen supplied by blowers, allowing microorganisms to oxidatively decompose pollutants in water into water and carbon dioxide (aerobic treatment). In contrast, anaerobic treatment (methane fermentation) is a method that converts pollutants primarily into methane gas through the action of anaerobic (oxygen-unfriendly) microorganisms under oxygen-deprived conditions. Cost and CO2 reduction through wastewater treatment - 5th Food Tech Japan Tokyo Exhibition

By changing the wastewater treatment, both costs and CO2 emissions can be reduced. "Tokutoku-bububu" enables methane fermentation treatment of food wastewater.

Methane fermentation wastewater treatment is a method of wastewater treatment that utilizes microorganisms (anaerobic bacteria) that thrive in environments with little to no oxygen. Since aeration, which supplies air to the treatment tank, is unnecessary, it can significantly reduce power consumption. Additionally, this process converts the pollutants (organic matter) in the wastewater into methane gas. The generated methane gas has the same components as city gas, and by using it as fuel for boilers and generators, it can reduce the use of conventional fuels (fossil fuels). Furthermore, due to the slow growth of microorganisms, the amount of excess sludge generated is also low, allowing for simultaneous waste reduction. These features not only reduce the running costs associated with wastewater treatment but also contribute to CO2 reduction. The reduction of fuel corresponds to Scope 1, the reduction of electricity corresponds to Scope 2, and the reduction of waste corresponds to Scope 3, making it a technology that is rapidly spreading as a means of achieving decarbonization in factories.
